Pregnant YouTuber Nicole Thea dies aged 24

YouTube personality, Nicole Thea, who was documenting her pregnancy online for her fans, passed away along with her unborn child on Saturday morning (July 12), her family has announced.

She was 24-years-old.

"To all Nicole’s friends and supporters it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Nicole and her son she and Boga named Reign sadly passed away on Saturday morning," her family wrote on her Instagram page.

The tribute continued:

"Also Nicole pre-schedule a few YouTube videos and Boga has made the decision to allow them to be aired. As a family we ask that you give us privacy because our hearts are truly broken and we are struggling to cope with what has happened.

"Thank you her mum RIP My beautiful baby girl Nicnac and my grandson Reign, I will miss you for the rest of my life until we meet again in eternal heaven. Xxx [sic]."

At the time of writing, no cause of death has been revealed.

Thea, who had 84,000 subscribers on YouTube, was expecting a child with her partner - a street dancer known as Global Boga.

She announced her pregnancy back in March, when she took to Instagram to write: "We can’t hide this any longer, secrets out.. GOD gave us the biggest blessing yet. I’m finally creating a beautiful little human inside of me."

"Can’t believe this bubba will be half of me and half of the loml. Honestly, @global_boga has been the best support EVER and GOD made no mistakes making him the father."

Towards the end of June, Boga said that he thought his son would "arrive soon".

"I have good faith baby Boga will come on a Monday #KOJO On What day were you born??" he added a few days later.

There had been no further updates on Thea or the child since then.
