It's reported that Princess Charlotte will inherit a "priceless" tiara - that was owned by Princess Diana - rather than her baby cousin, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
Per The Mirror, six-year-old Charlotte, whose parents are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will also have "the pick of the palace jewels" once she is old enough, as her father, William, is second in line to the throne, and she is his only daughter.
The royal insider went on to claim that there are two particular items that would best suit the princess.

One of the items is reportedly the Spencer Tiara — famously the crown worn by the late Princess Diana on her wedding to Prince Charles on July 29, 1981.
The headpiece has been in the Spencer family for almost a century before the nuptials, and was previously worn at the respective weddings of Diana's two older sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellows.
The precious heirloom was partly made out of a 1919 wedding gift from Lady Sarah Spencer to Lady Cynthia Hamilton, Diana's Grandmother, for her wedding to Viscount Althorp.
As reported by Good To Know, palace sources have said that discussions are taking place to secure the tiara for Charlotte. It currently resides with Diana's youngest brother, Charles, 9th Earl Spencer.
A source said: "William is close with his uncle and has asked if his mother’s namesake tiara can be given to Charlotte someday. William is quite aware the earl has daughters of his own, but the two have agreed that Diana’s iconic piece belongs to her first granddaughter."

The Mirror also reports that Charlotte already knows all about her future heirloom, and that she cannot wait to wear it one day.
"Lotte knows all about her ‘Granny Diana’ – after all, Diana is one of her middle names. She’s also seen pictures of her wearing the tiara," they claimed.
However, in keeping with tradition, brides have always waited till their wedding day before donning the tiara, so Charlotte may have to wait for some time before she can try it on.
