Rebel Wilson has announced the birth of her first child

Taking to Instagram on Monday (November 7), the Pitch Perfect star shared a photo of her new daughter - named Royce Lillian - who was welcomed to the world via a surrogate.

Wilson wrote to her 11.2 million followers: "Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate."

The 42-year-old star continued: "I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle! I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making… but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care.

"Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!"

"I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable," Wilson added. "I am learning quickly…much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club."

The happy news comes five months after Wilson also announced that she was LGBTQ+ and was in a relationship with Ramona Agruma, founder of Lemon Ve Limon - a sustainable clothing company based in Los Angeles.

Writing to her fans back in June, the Bridesmaid's star wrote: "I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess."

Sadly, it was later revealed that Wilson shared the news after Sydney Morning Herald columnist Andrew Hornery explained that the outlet had given the star two days to comment on her new relationship before the paper put out an article outing her.

In a subsequent article, Horney wrote: "In a perfect world, 'outing' same-sex celebrity relationships should be a redundant concept in 2022. Love is love, right? As Rebel Wilson knows, we do not live in a perfect world."

As expected, the columnist was slammed on social media.

Over the weekend, Wilson also had to clarify rumors that she and Agruma were engaged.

Per PEOPLE, after a "source" circulated the rumor, the actress took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of the two of them enjoying themselves at Disneyland.

She wrote alongside the image: "Thanks for the well-wishes, but we are NOT engaged."

A huge congratulations to Rebel!
