A recording of Stan Lee reportedly screaming at his daughter has been unearthed.
The tape, which has been obtained by the New York Post, was allegedly recorded by his former manager in the final years his life.
Its contents will reportedly be revealed in Abraham Riesman's tell-all biography of the Marvel icon, True Believer: The Rise and Fall of Stan Lee.
"I think you're the dumbest white woman I've ever known!" Lee can reportedly be heard screaming at his adult daughter, J.C (Joan Celia).
"F**k you, Stan!" she fires back.
This is not an isolated recording either – on another tape, Lee is reportedly told that J.C. has called to say that she loves him.
"F**k, she doesn't know what love is," Lee allegedly responds. "I don't need to be upset every f**king time she calls."
The recordings will undoubtedly shock fans of Lee, who passed away in November 2018 at the age of 95.
Opening up about his upcoming book release, author Riesman told the New York Post: "It's not about tearing him down. The message is, there are no superheroes."
The book, which hits shelves on Tuesday, February 16, is set to explore the man behind Lee's jovial public persona, who was said to be "distant, troubled, and unscrupulous".
Lee and his wife Joan welcomed their daughter J.C. in 1950 while he was working at Marvel's Midtown New York offices.
The couple went on to have one more daughter who tragically died when she was just a few days old, and as a result, they doted on J.C.
While Lee created some of the most well-known popular heroes the world has ever seen, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Hulk, and Black Panther, J.C. did not follow in her father's footsteps.
First dreaming of becoming an actress, she attended drama school before dropping out.
She went on to attend The School of Visual Arts for a couple of semesters and had stint as a receptionist at Marvel.
After her father's passing, however, she inherited his entire fortune and, according to the book, is now trying her hand at creating her own superhero, Dirt Man.
