Rihanna has brilliant response to resurfaced 'bad' photo of herself

Rihanna is used to going viral – but being turned into the poster girl for unflattering girlfriend photos wasn’t exactly on her bingo card.

The superstar ended up in the spotlight again this week after a fan page used an old, awkward photo of her to illustrate what men supposedly prefer when it comes to candid pictures of their partners. And in true Rihanna fashion, she clapped back immediately.

Why Rihanna Was Randomly Included in a Viral Instagram Post

The chaos began when FemBase shared an Instagram post claiming that many men prefer “candid or imperfect photos” of their girlfriends.

According to the account, unfiltered expressions and off-guard moments create a stronger sense of closeness and authenticity in relationships. But instead of using a generic example, the post featured a throwback photo of Rihanna mid–silly face, taken from an extremely unflattering low angle.

Fans were just as stunned as Rihanna herself, who wasted no time jumping into the comment section.

With her signature dry humor, she wrote: “How I catch this stray tho?” The comment instantly went viral, with fans flooding the replies to celebrate her quick wit. One user joked, “I love that you clocked this RIH,” while others responded with strings of laughing emojis.

Rihanna’s History of Iconic Clapbacks on Social Media

Rihanna’s sharp tongue has become part of her brand. The mogul has never been one to let trolls talk without consequences.

Earlier this year, when a commenter demanded new music and called her “forehead,” Rihanna shut them down instantly, snapping back, as per NME: “You ain't cute enough to be calling me by my black name you dizzy f**k!”

She has also taken on political trolls with the same energy. During the last presidential election cycle, when her comment section filled with MAGA supporters, she fired off a series of stinging retorts.

One conservative told her to “stick to music sis,” to which Rihanna delivered the now-iconic comeback (via The Independent): “Where were you in Jan 6 sis? Stick to your discounted crotch. We out here fighting for its rights!”

Her humor, fearlessness, and refusal to filter herself continue to endear her to millions – and her latest clapback proves motherhood hasn’t softened her edge one bit.

Life After Baby No. 3: Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Adjust to Parenthood Again

Rihanna’s social media moment comes just weeks after she and A$AP Rocky welcomed their third child. The couple revealed in September that their daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, had arrived, joining big brothers RZA and Riot Rose.

Rocky recently spoke about the joy of becoming a “girl dad,” telling Extra at the CFDA Fashion Awards: “Yo, being a girl dad is amazing… I mean, check me out – I’m glowing.”

Between raising three kids, running multiple businesses, and still finding time to roast the internet, Rihanna continues to prove why she remains one of the most effortlessly entertaining icons on social media.
