Mark Consuelos, best known for his portrayal of Mateo Santos on the ABC soap opera All My Children and Hiram Lodge in Riverdale, had to be restrained after confronting his teenage son's high school wrestling opponent during their match.
TMZ posted a video of the Riverdale actor rushing onto the wrestling mat during a match which involved his 16-year-old son Joaquin,
It is believed that Mark's wife Kelly Ripa, 49, was also at the sporting event which took place in Long Island, New York.

Kelly Ripa has opened up on her nearly 27-year marriage with her husband Mark Consuelos in a new podcast.
The couple first met in 1995 when the 51-year-old Riverdale actor joined the cast of All My Children, where the 52-year-old actress starred as Hayley Vaughan. They then tied the knot in May 1996.
The Live With Kelly and Ryan star shared a glimpse into the beginning of her marriage in her new Sirius XM podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera, and reflected on her husband being "insanely jealous".
"My biggest complaint about you over the course of our marriage - and this is not recent because it definitely changed - but you used to be insanely jealous and that was a hard pill to swallow," Ripa said in a teaser for the episode, per Entertainment Tonight.
"It's very hard being married to somebody who is jealous," she stated, adding that he had a "perception of a scenario," before sharing an example.
"It was our first week of marriage because we didn't take our honeymoon until later. You were working and I went to visit you in Boston," Ripa recalled. "We went to this Italian restaurant and the waiter was like a very cute old man, he's definitely in his 70s if not 80s.
"He leaned down and he said, 'And for the principessa?'" she continued, with Consuelos confirming that he remembers the specific interaction and admits that he "got upset" at the moment.
"I thought it was so cute that this little old man called me a princess, and I looked at him and I gave him my order in a very smiley way," Ripa added. "And he walked away and you picked a horrible fight."
"I remember that. Look at age 25, I was pretty insane," the self-aware husband reflected. "But that jealousy thing definitely followed me for a while. I'm not jealous anymore."
Ripa told her spouse that she's "so grateful that you're not," before the Queen of the South actor discussed his "character flaw" at the beginning of their relationship.
"It's ugly. As ugly as it feels to the person who has to be on the receiving end of it, it's such an ugly feeling inside. If this is any consolation, you know you're being crazy," he remarked. "The jealous person knows that this is wrong and it's ugly, but they can't help it."
Consuelos revealed that he doesn't know what caused him to simmer down with his jealousy, but explained: "I wanted to do some work on myself and that was one of the major things that I needed to work on because it was getting in the way."
The couple's marriage successfully lived on as they went on to welcome three children in their lives: Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 20.
As for the next chapter in the professional career, the two will be seeing each other a lot more on-air, as Consuelos is replacing Ripa's former co-host Ryan Seacrest, on Live With Kelly and Ryan next month.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos had a stern warning for their daughter Lola after she kept barging into the couple's bedroom without knocking first.
On a recent episode of Live! With Kelly and Ryan, the couple opened up about their 21-year-old daughter, Lola, moving back home after spending a semester abroad.
And while everything was great for the family, it seems as though there's one awkward thing that keeps on recurring and it involves Lola walking into their room without announcing herself first.
Speaking of his daughter's antics while he was guest co-hosting the episode, Mark said: "We got away this week, which was great. But Lola Consuelos, our daughter, came home — what was it last week? A week and a half ago? From London, and she's so excited to be living with us again because it's her last semester in college."
He continued: "She's not going to go back to her apartment, she's staying with us. And you know what she does now? The door's closed in our bedroom, no knock, she just walks in and says, 'Hey girls!'"
As per PEOPLE, his wife confirmed the repeated anecdote, before he told the audience that the pair had to address the little issue.
"And so I said, Lola — I don't want you to take this the wrong way, I'm very excited that you are home. We missed you. You are the heart of this family. You're so funny and you're just fantastic... But you gotta knock," he said.
"Because at this point, anything you walk in on is your problem," Kelly chimed in, with Mark also adding: "Your fault! Don't you think she's been traumatized enough by walking in before?"
The mom then joked that her daughter was acting reckless by testing her parents but thankfully, she also added that Lola "now knocks" before coming in.
However, Mark wasn't taking any more chances, doubling down on his stance with a light-hearted warning.
"Well, be warned Lola Conseulos. Cause this week's freaky week, isn't it? Yeah, this is Jan. 30. We're going to get freaky this week," he said chucking.
"Why this week? Is this historically freaky week?" Asked Kelly.
The actor added with a cheeky smile: "It is now."
Kelly and Mark have been together for over 26 years now and as well as Lola, they have two other children - Joaquin, 19, and Michael, 25.
During a 2019 interview with Us Weekly, Mark revealed that even after all this time, he was still "crazy" about his wife.
"She's an extremely patient and tolerant woman," he continued. "And I think that's the true secret to our marriage."
And it seems like Kelly is just as obsessed with her husband.
She revealed to Entertainment Weekly Canada that "all Mark has to do is look at me [and I] feel so special, so pretty and so young."
"It's probably his superpower. He knows how to treat his spouse like the only person in the world. He's got the best smile I've ever seen, so when he smiles it's like the sun's shining on you."
She continued: "He's got this magic ability to be present and part of everything, so I feel very fortunate. I'm very lucky!"
These two are total relationship goals!

Kelly Ripa has revealed that she once fell unconscious in the middle of sex with her husband Mark Consuelos before being rushed to hospital.
The 51-year-old Live With Kelly and Ryan host has been married to the Riverdale actor since 1996, and the couple share three children: Michael, 25, Joaquin, 10, and Lola, 21.
The TV show host recalled the terrifying sex story in her new memoir, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, which is set to be released on September 27.
Ripa explained that the incident went down in the late 1990s when she and Consuelos were newlyweds - and just a few months after she had given birth to her first child.
The All My Children actress wrote that she ultimately passed out during the lovemaking but not because she was having the time of her life - although she was - but due to two ovarian cysts she was unaware of.
Ripa then wrote in her book, according to Haute Living, that while the whole thing was quite the ordeal for her, she said that her husband was almost too calm throughout the scary experience.
"My eyes shift between the fuzzy images on the screen, the remnants of my ovarian tormentor, and Mark happily snacking away," she said. "Sex can be so traumatic I think, and yet one of us is completely undaunted."
"There he is, happily munching on the saltines now and ordering a second apple juice. Mark could be at a movie or a spa. Instead, I’m flat on my back wondering when the other two cysts will burst," she added.
Even in her hospital bed, the Hope and Faith actress was awake to berate her husband over her outfit choice after he rushed her to the ER in a French-cut leotard, red "f*** me" Manolo Blahniks, and a pair of his oversized Juventus warm-up pants.
"Also, here is my husband, who is, dare I say, stylish, well-dressed at all times, and yet he dressed me like a dime store prostitute in my time of need," she said.
"It’s still baffling to me to this day that this is the best costume for the day that he could find for me, to the point where, when I was on the stretcher, I thought I was dreaming; I was having a nightmare. I didn’t realize I had come to," she added.
Fortunately, Ripa made a full recovery and now knows not to let her husband "pick [her] death clothes".
Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories is available on September 27.

Kelly Ripa has shockingly shared that she already has her funeral dress picked out and labeled.
The 53-year-old Live With Kelly and Ryan host has been married to the Riverdale actor since 1996, and the couple share three children: Michael, 26, Joaquin, 20, and Lola, 22.
During Friday's (January 12) episode of the couple's talk show, Live with Kelly & Mark, Ripa revealed that she has a gown picked out for the future ceremony, just in case her husband Mark Consuelos is not up to the task of choosing what she'll be laid to rest in.
"I’m so fearful if he has to eulogize me," she said on the show, as cited by PEOPLE. "First of all, at the funeral, it’ll be a buffet of all my least favorite things. It’ll be deviled eggs, it’ll be chicken wings, it’ll be glasses of milk."
The 52-year-old All My Children actor interjected that his wife wouldn't be around to have any control over the occasion, quipping: "Hey, watch out because I’m going to have to dress you as well. You better be nice now, or I’m going to put you in something crazy!"
However, the mom-of-three was one step ahead as she went on to tell her spouse that she'd already had an outfit for that day hanging in her closet and ready to go.
"Let me remind you where the outfit hangs. It is labeled and Lauren knows about it." Ripa revealed. "It’s a Dolce & Gabbana black dress. It’s 10 years old. It’s elegant, it’s gorgeous, it’s black, it’s adorable."
This is not the first time the talk show host has explained her decision to pick out her own funeral dress, as she also mentioned it during a March 2016 episode of the show. At the time, Ripa recalled the time she passed out after giving birth to her first child, leading her husband to have to call 911.
"I was naked when I passed out," she said. "And in that time, he dressed me. And as they were putting me on a stretcher I remember pulling the sheet over my head because I didn't want people to see me dressed this way."
The paramedics told her not to pull the sheet up as that would signify the patient was dead, to which she jokingly replied that she would have "rather [been] dead right now" than have the people see her in the outfit that Consuelos chose for her, which happened to be a pair of his sweatpants worn over a green leotard and completed with a pair of "red pumps".
"I’m serious, and when they took me into the emergency room … the nurses determined I must have been unconscious at some point because of the way that I was dressed," she joked. "And that made me a priority [in the E.R.]"
Ripa then went on to state that the traumatic incident is why she "picked out" her own funeral clothes.
I mean...who can blame her?
