Robert De Niro was seen attending a funeral service for his 19-year-old grandson after his tragic death last week.

The 79-year-old was seen at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel on Manhattan's Upper East Side where the event mourning Leandro De Niro Rodriguez was taking place.

The teen was found dead in a New York City apartment Sunday, July 2 after allegedly ingesting "fentanyl-laced pills."

Leandro's mom, Drena De Niro, who is the eldest child of the Goodfellas actor, responded to a comment about what could have potentially caused her son's untimely death, stating: "Someone sold him fentanyl-laced pills that they knew were laced yet still sold them to him so for all these people still f****** around selling and buying this s***, my son is gone forever."

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use when it comes to pain relief and anesthesia.

An official cause of death is still pending.

Prior to the revelation, the distressed mom posted a statement on Instagram to confirm the devastating news.

"It is with immeasurable shock and sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved son Leo. We thank you for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we are given privacy at this time to process this inconsolable grief," she wrote.

Just a few hours later, Drena followed up with a tribute post alongside a heartfelt message accompanied by a black-and-white photo of the 19-year-old.

"I can barely type through my tears but all the love, the messages, calls, texts, emails, the friends and family that held me up these last 24 hrs I’ve not been able to respond yet but we’re grateful for the all your love and condolences," she wrote.

She continued: "Leo my darling I love you today like the first day I held you in my arms. The same man that picked us up from the hospital when you were born drove us to the funeral home where I touched and held you for the last time."

The 51-year-old added that she's "holding you every second of every moment I’m my heart and memories until I’m with you again."

Just a week on, the family including De Niro and his eldest daughter, were seen at a funeral service held for the teen.

The star was accompanied by his girlfriend Tiffany Chen and their three-month-old daughter Gia for the service.

Graffiti artist Carlos Rodriguez and longtime friends and former co-stars Christopher Walken, Harvey Keitel and Michael Imperioli were also seen at the event as per photos released by Page Six.

The report also detailed that the About My Father actor arrived wearing "a mask and baseball hat but seemingly took off the accessories for the service, during which he opted for a simple black suit and tan collared shirt."

In a statement to the outlet after the news was announced, De Niro said he was "deeply distressed" by the death of his grandson.

"We’re greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone. We ask that we please be given privacy to grieve our loss of Leo," he added.

Our hearts go out to the family during this incredibly difficult time.
