Ron Howard recently shed light on the moment he was in the audience while watching his daughter - actor Bryce Dallas Howard - perform nude.

The renowned Hollywood director recently shared a light-hearted yet shocking experience of witnessing his daughter perform in her birthday suit in an experimental college play, describing the instance as a "complete assault" on his psyche.

During an episode of In Depth with Graham Bensinger, the esteemed Oscar-winning director, 69, recalled the unexpected scenario of seeing Bryce - who has gone on to become one of Hollywood's top leading ladies - in a college play, unaware that the actors would be unclothed for the majority of the performance.

"Within seven or eight minutes into the show, nobody had any clothes on," Howard revealed. "It was experimental theater. And I was sitting next to my dad — I wasn't sure what he would think."

Ron's father, however, demonstrated a different perspective - highlighting the courage involved, saying: "That’s what college is all about. She's never going to be afraid onstage again."

When questioned about his initial hesitations to attend the performance, Ron humorously stated, "No, because first of all, I knew there was nudity. I didn't realize it was full-body, nonstop. It was a complete assault on a father's psyche." He went on to commend the quality and boldness of the performance.

Despite being one of the most beautiful and talented stars in all of Hollywood, Dallas Howard recently revealed that she was asked to lose weight for a role.

The Jurassic World star revealed in an interview with the Metro that movie bosses wanted her to lose weight for her role in the franchise's third installment.

Howard, who portrays Dinosaur Protection Group leader Claire Dearing in the trilogy, claimed that it was director Colin Trevorrow who leaped to her defense and rejected these demands from unidentified film executives.

The 42-year-old beloved actor told Metro about Trevorrow's firm stance, recalling: "On the third movie, it was actually because there were so many women cast, it was something that Colin felt very strongly about in terms of protecting me…

"Because the conversation came up again, 'we need to ask Bryce to lose weight.'"

She added: "He was like, 'There are lots of different kinds of women on this planet and there are lots of different kinds of women in our film' and I got to do so many stunts that wouldn't have been possible if I had been dieting."

"So I'm really thrilled [at] all the action I got to do, and I got to do it with my body, she was at her maximum strength, and I hope it is just yet another indication of what's possible," Howard proudly stated.

Fortunately, in a recent interview with PEOPLE, Howard revealed that she's had enough of talking about her body.

"I've retired talking about my body," the star said. "My focus is on what my body is doing, what my body is capable of."

She added that she will only be cast in future projects for her talents - rather than how she looks - saying: "What I found was best is to just be in communication with folks early in the hiring process.

"What I would say is that, 'If you want to cast me, awesome. But if you think you want to cast me, but 20 pounds less me or 40 pounds less me, that's actually another actor. That's not me, and I'm not going to shame you in this moment about this. We need to have a real conversation here because if you're hiring me, you're hiring me.'"
