Ronda Rousey is expecting her first child.

The former UFC champion-turned-WWE champion made the announcement on social media with her husband and partner of six years, MMA heavyweight Travis Browne.

Rousey, 34, has described their unborn child as "the baddest baby on the planet" and revealed when the baby is due.

Sharing the happy news on Instagram too, the 34-year-old wrote on Instagram: "It's been quite a journey to get to this point.

"And we're so excited to share with you all that Mr Browne and I are expecting the baddest baby on the planet Sept 22nd. [sic]"

She continued: "There's too much to tell in just one post, but for now here is a little recap of what we've been up to the last 4 months."

"I've been pregnant since January, and I can't hide it anymore so it's time to show it off," Ronda said in the accompanying video, showing off her bump.

"I just wanted to share with you guys a little bit of the journey we've been on," she continued before the couple shared heartwarming footage of how they found out they were pregnant.

Rousey and Browne's relationship began back in 2015, and they tied the knot two years later.

The 34-year-old recently sat down for an interview with Table Talk, where she opened up about having a family and her eventual return to WWE.

She said: "I actually waited until this moment to tell everybody. I don't know [when I'll return].

"When I feel like it. I'll come back when I feel like it. Eventually, when I feel like it."

Ronda was rumored to be pregnant back in January 2019, with people speculating that she was going to leave the WWE at the time to become a mother.

She went on to dismiss the rumor to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne at the time.

The 34-year-old said: "I honestly don't know why [anyone] feels [they're] an authority to speak on plans for my uterus. It's my vagina, my life, keep the speculations to yourself. Leave me and my reproductive organs alone."
