Yesterday, Salma Hayek Pinault took to Instagram to share a gorgeous makeup-free selfie, a selfie that happened to highlight some of her grey hairs.
Drawing attention to the hairs rather than shying away from the reality of aging, the 54-year-old wrote in the caption: "The white hair of wisdom." She then repeated the poetic line in Spanish, writing: Las canas de la sabiduría", and in French: "Les cheveux blancs de la sagesse".⠀⠀⠀

The Mexican actress also included the following hashtags in the caption: "white hair" and "hairspiration".
Needless to say, fans were delighted by the radiant picture, with one writing: "Beautiful" alongside a heart emoji, and another telling the Frida actress she has the "face of a goddess".
And if you're wondering just how Salma manages to maintain her beautiful clear skin, it turns out excessive cleansing isn't it.
“I never cleanse my skin in the morning. My grandmother taught me that at night, your skin replenishes all the things you lost during the day. Also, if I cleanse very well at night, why would it be dirty when I wake up?” Salma told The New York Times.
Check out this saucy little scene Salma had in Dusk Till Dawn:

She continued:
"It’s for companies to have you use more products. I spritz rose water — it’s so gentle and wakes the skin up. Then I apply moisturizer. I have an oil from my line Nuance that I love. I don’t do sunscreen unless I’m going to be out in the sun all day. Why? I don’t think the chemicals in sunscreen are good for your skin. I believe in using it when you need it."

While taking care not to overstate the importance of using skincare products, she did reveal her night routine:
"At night I take off my makeup with coconut oil. Then I use rose water to take off the residuals. You can use a hot towel with the rose water — you put a wet towel in the microwave — to do a little steam. I’ll use the chamomile cleanser from Nuance. Then I splash with cold water.
"I have an edible mask with Juice Generation that has hibiscus in it that I might use. Or you can use a little bit of oatmeal and then some water or almond milk, and a little bit of honey. You let it soak, and it’s a great cleanser that makes your skin very soft."

And if you're wondering if Salma has had any cosmetic procedures, she told Harpers Bazaar: “I still have not done any Botox, fillers, or peels. Nothing. Sometimes I think I should do something, but I don't know what...I wear makeup sometimes but not to take my kid to school,” she told Harper's Bazaar.
