The 65-year-old actress and comedian featured on the late-night comedy show from 1986 to 1992.

She often appeared on the "Weekend Update" segment and was most known for her impersonations of Roseanne Barr, Sally Struthers, and Zsa Zsa Gabor.

In a heartbreaking update on Instagram, Jackson shared that she has an estimated "34.8 months" left to live after doctors found an inoperable tumor in her windpipe.

Jackson revealed the disheartening news this week during her "Is the Cancer Back?" video series.

Being the comedian that she is, she captioned the post: "Cancer Update: I have 34.8 months to live if I don't get hit by a meteor, shot by a MAGA hater, get Covid again or WWIII breaks out."

She explained in the 8-minute-long clip that doctors “cannot operate and cut out the marble in my chest that is laying on my windpipe, and eventually would suffocate me to death," and said that she would be receiving a “magic pill” containing Ribociclib - which is a type of cancer growth blocker - that her medics had told her “will shrink the marble, hopefully".

Jackson researched the life expectancy for those undergoing the treatment and found that people who took it had "32.6 months to live," while those who took the placebo had 28 months to live.

The former Sabrina the Teenage Witch star, who first revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, remained positive amid her battle, remarking that she had a "fantastic life".

She then told her followers that she hoped to still be around to see certain milestones: “I’d like to see my grandson born, his name is Jimmy, in October, and get to know him a little. And I would like to see my daughter Aubrey have a baby," she said.

She concluded her video by sharing: “You know, we’re all dying but when you kinda see in print, you have 32.6 months, it makes you think, ya know? But I wouldn’t change anything."

After Jackson shared the sad news on the social media platform, her supporters took to the comments sharing an outpouring of love for the star.

"You have a legion of PRAYER WARRIORS who are standing with you! We love you!" one person said, while another wrote: "Keep fighting stay positive you have an army of patriots for you."

A third added: "Praying for you! Only know knows when our time is up! You may live well beyond the 32 months."

After leaving SNL, Jackson spent the rest of the 1990s making guest appearances on TV shows such as The X-Files, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Sesame Street, and In the Heat of the Night. Her film credits include Family Business, and The Matchbreaker, among other titles.

The comedian then took a long hiatus from acting and only returned to TV screens in 2012.

Jackson has become a conservative and religious activist in recent years, often sharing Bible scripture and praising ex-President Donald Trump.
