Scarlett Johansson and her partner Colin Jost got married in a secret ceremony last weekend, it has been reported.

The nuptials were announced by the Instagram account for Meals on Wheels America announced yesterday (October 29).

Meals on Wheels is an organization that helps less fortunate senior citizens by providing them meals across the country.

The post read:

"We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC.

"Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking the link in our bio."

Per People, Johansson and Jost got engaged back in May 2019 following two years of dating. The Avengers star showed off her 11-carat engagement ring in July of that year during an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con for her Black Widow prequel movie.

In October, Johansson spoke to Ellen DeGeneres about Jost's proposal, saying he "killed it" and created "a whole James Bond situation."

Check out their appearance together at the Met Gala:

"It was surprising - he’s got a lot behind that news desk he’s hiding," she joked, in reference to her now-husband's job as Weekend Update host on SNL. "He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. But yeah, I was surprised.

"Even if you kind of imagine what that moment’s gonna be like, it’s still a beautiful moment."

This is Jost's first marriage and Johansson's third.

Johansson was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from September 2008 to December 2010, and later to Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017, with whom she shares daughter Rose Dorothy Dauriac.

Per People, the pair were first pictured together as an official couple back in November 2017.

According to a source to the outlet, Johansson and Jost connected through their similar sense of humor, particularly their sarcasm.

"Scarlett likes Colin’s sarcasm and wit," the source said. "They share a love for acerbic humor and outrage at social issues gone bad. They have much in common."
