The actress, best known for her role as Black Widow in the Marvel franchise, opened up about her husband's targeted roasts during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Now, Johansson has been married to Jost for four years now and part of that union involves being the butt of a few jokes on SNL, which the comedian is a regular host on.

For those of you who aren't familiar with one of the most popular SNL segments, it involves Jost and his co-host Michael Che "swap" jokes where they read jokes written by the other man.

Throughout the years, Che has historically pranked Jost by tricking him into reading highly offensive material about his wife, which always seemingly Johansson terrified.

The most recent joke, which was featured during an episode of the show in May, involved his wife and AI with a very misogynistic twist.

"ChatGPT has released a new voice assistant feature inspired by Scarlett Johansson’s AI character in [the movie] Her," Jost read. "Which I’ve never bothered to watch, because without that body, what’s the point of listening?"

Speaking to Clarkson, the 39-year-old said: "We need to go into witness protection after that night."

"I am absolutely terrified we’re gonna be like, targeted. It’s so bad. I black out for that period of the night. I don’t — I actually don’t remember it."

“That’s like a tame version,” Johansson added, reflecting on her husband’s material, before concluding that SNL’s annual joke swap segment is "brutal."

And that's an understatement.

Other jokes on this year's joke swap involved bringing a rabbi onto the panel while Jost made jokes about Israel and its siege on Gaza, including a puppet that stated if "criticism" for the US-backed state did not die down, "we'll hit them with our space lasers."

Che on the other hand was forced to tell some pretty insane jokes about the church including making remarks about grooming and predatory behavior in schools - big yikes.
