Selena Gomez has addressed the moment she suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the 2022 Emmy Awards.

Despite looking like the personification of elegance at this year's 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, 30-year-old Gomez has revealed that she actually showed off a little more than she was intending.

Speaking to fellow chart-topper Kelly Clarkson on Wednesday, the 'Hands to Myself' singer revealed on the former's talk show that she started having issues with her stunning white Celine halter dress.

During the prestigious awards show, Gomez was front-and-center when she presented the Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Talk Series alongside acting legends and her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.

However, Gomez then revealed that her stunning gown was actually riding up "the entire time".

"A lot of people saw something they didn't want to see," the singer told host Clarkson.

Nevertheless, the 40-year-old host assured her guest that she looked "so radiant", regardless of the fashion faux pas.

(Gomez also revealed to Clarkson that she once had to be physically cut out of a pair of spanx!)

Elsewhere on the show, Gomez also revealed that one of her goals is to introduce an initiative to grade schools that would allow children to learn about and receive therapy.

"I just figured when you're young and you're in school they say, 'Are you happy face today? Are you sad face?' And feel like they should just keep that going into other grades," Gomez said. "I just feel like its a necessity, just like physical activity is.

"I think it would be amazing if I could make it happen."

Gomez also spoke to Vogue about the initiative, telling the publication: "I’m working on it through the Rare Impact Fund. We’ve been working with a bunch of schools and we want to create relationships with people to help us do that.

"When I went to the White House, I was talking to the surgeon general, and he said that this was a huge focus for them too. So now I’m texting with him, which feels really weird [laughs] but cool. Like, really cool. He’s super forward-thinking and wants to create change and he has the sense that it’s urgent and that we are at a critical moment.

"Because of [the pandemic], many people who have never experienced anxiety may all of a sudden be experiencing panic attacks. So it feels very relevant."

The 'Bad Liar' singer appeared on Clarkson's show to promote her new Apple TV+ documentary, My Mind and Me - which follows Gomez as she recounts some of the most challenging moments over the last six years of her life.
