In an industry often filled with baby announcements and family photoshoots, actor Seth Rogen is taking a different path.

The 41-year-old star and his wife, Lauren Miller, have made a mutual decision not to have children, and they're not shy about discussing it.

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show back in 2021, the Superbad actor got candid about his choice to remain childless. When the 69-year-old host asked if Rogen and his wife ever wanted kids, Rogen confidently replied: “No.”

How does the Bad Neighbors actor manage to juggle numerous projects, engage in pottery (a passion of his evident from his Instagram feed), and pen books? The answer, according to Rogen, is simple: “It’s that I don't have kids, I have nothing else to do.”

And it appears that Miller, whom Rogen wed in 2011, is even less inclined towards parenthood than her husband. “The thing is, I think I could wrap my head around it [having kids], but I think she’s just like uh no,” Rogen shared.

Despite their unconventional choice in the context of celebrity culture, Rogen and Miller are thoroughly enjoying their life without children. Rogen affirms: “We have so much fun. I don’t know anyone who gets as much happiness out of their kids as we get out of our non-kids.”

Howard Stern, a father to three, endorsed Rogen's decision, pointing out the significant sacrifices parenting entails. “It’s not an easy haul having kids. You can’t be narcissistic, you have to give yourself over to parenting, and they’ve gotta be the priority," he told the sctor.

Rogen's response? “Yeah, I don’t want that. That does not sound fun to me.” Fair play, Seth.

Interestingly, in 2018, Rogen seemed more open to the idea of fatherhood, telling Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast that the topic was an "active conversation." But fast-forward four years, and it's clear that Rogen and Miller are content with their decision.

And appearing as a guest on The Diary of a CEO podcast, Rogen doubled down on his comments, saying: "I’ve been around obviously a lot of children, I’m not ignorant to what it’s like…everyone I know has kids…some of my friends have had kids for decades.

"Some people want kids, some people don’t want kids. Honestly, you just are told, ‘You go through life, you get married, you have kids.’ That’s what happens…me and my wife, neither of us were like that."

The Knocked Up star’s parents, who have been supportive of his choice, echo this sentiment. Rogen's father told US Weekly: “We try not to pressure them. We think they’ll make the right decisions for themselves.”

With a multitude of projects - including recently voicing Donkey Kong in the Super Mario Bros. Movie - Rogen doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. And it appears that his life's script won't be including a baby subplot for the foreseeable future.
