Sherri Shepherd has criticized Sharon Osbourne for comments she made about racism on The Talk.
During a recent interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, the 53-year-old former host of The View slammed Osbourne's comments to Sheryl Underwood as unacceptable.
Sharon Osbourne lately made a public statement about her husband Ozzy's health issues:Osbourne, in defending her friend Piers Morgan from accusations of racism, provoked tears from her colleague Underwood in the heated televised debate.
At one point, Osbourne even told Underwood that she was "not allowed to cry."
Commenting on Osbourne's behaviour, Shepherd stated:
Take a look at Osbourne and Underwood's discussion in the video below:"It crosses a line when you’re a grownup and somebody tells you what you can and cannot do emotionally. When they tell you: 'you are not allowed to cry.'
"I'm grown. I'm raising children. This is a job for me, the way it is for you. So how dare you tell me how I can act?
"I think that was definitely crossing the line. I would expect an apology to be forthcoming because you're two grown women."
Shepherd also opined that too many commenters were focusing on Osbourne's side of the story, to the exclusion of Underwood's personal feelings on the matter.
The episode's discussion was prompted by a tweet Osbourne wrote in support of journalist and broadcaster Morgan, after he was accused of racism towards Meghan Markle.

In the tweet in question, Osbourne wrote: "@piersmorgan I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth. [sic]"
Osbourne later apologized for any offense caused after CBS launched an investigation into her conduct.
Taking to her official Twitter account, Osbourne wrote: "I am truly sorry. I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive & allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being racist take over.
"There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism so to feel associated with that spun me fast!
"I do not condone racism, misogyny, or bullying. I will always support freedom of speech, but now I see how I unintentionally didn't make that clear distinction."
