Snoop Dogg and Seth Rogen slammed Europeans for dangerous way they roll up weed
Snoop Dogg and Seth Rogen have reignited a long-standing debate in cannabis circles, taking aim at how Europeans roll their joints. Known for their openness about smoking weed, the rapper and actor didn’t hold back during a 2019 chat on The Howard Stern Show, where they discussed regional differences in cannabis use.
Snoop didn’t mince words when reflecting on his international experiences. “I’m just being honest with you,” he said. “Whenever I would go to certain countries, their weed was so f**king garbage.”
He added, “We would get some hash and the hash would take it to another level.” Rogen jumped in, asking if Snoop ends up arguing “with a lot of Europeans about putting tobacco in their joints.” Both firmly agreed they “hate that sh*t.”
Snoop says European weed mixes are too harsh
Snoop continued his criticism: “They put f**king cigarettes in their f**king weed, it’s like a hell of a head rush.” He warned, “If you’re not careful that sh*t will blow your f**king head off.” According to him, “They put a little bit of weed and a lot of f**king tobacco.”
Rogen explained why some might do it, claiming Europeans think they’re “expanding it and stretching it out.” However, he added that it “doesn’t get you high the same way.” Snoop argued the mix is actually “f**king you up,” with a warning that “your whole chest gonna blow up.” Rogen simply called the habit “crazy.”
Health experts disagree with the myth
A study from University College London found that most cannabis users in Europe do indeed mix it with tobacco. But lead researcher Chandi Hindocha said this doesn’t make the user “more stoned” and “does nothing to improve the subjective experience.”
Despite the cultural differences, it's important to note that cannabis remains illegal in the UK as a Class B drug, while 24 US states have legalized it for recreational use.
Rogen, who has often talked about his deep appreciation for marijuana, summed up his thoughts on The Diary of a CEO podcast: “I equate it to shoes or glasses - are shoes like a crutch we use, or are they a thing we have culturally decided make our lives easier and better? That is exactly how I see weed. Could I not smoke weed? Probably. Would I just much rather smoke weed all day? Yes.”
