Actress and model Sofia Vergara has taken to social media to silence people claiming that she was a "victim" of Ellen DeGeneres' "bullying".
It has been a rough 2020 for the once-beloved television host, but Ellen DeGeneres' reputation and ratings have fallen following multiple claims that she purported a "toxic" workplace.
Last week, a Twitter thread was started which encouraged people to share clips of DeGeneres "being rude and d*sgusting".
One clip shared to the thread was accompanied with the caption "Ellen [continually] mocking Sofia Vergara’s Spanish accent", and shows a collection of Vergara's appearances on the show in which, yes, Ellen does poke fun at her accent.
You can see the clips in the video below - Do you think Ellen goes too far?In the video, Ellen jokes that Vergara's accent has gotten worse over time and mimicks the way she says certain words - jokes that many Twitter users viewed as "bullying":
However, despite the resurfaced clips going viral on social media, Vergara, 48, has personally responded to the claims that she was ever a "victim".
Writing to her 8.7 million followers, Vergara said: "Two comedians having fun with each other to entertain. I was never a victim guys, I was always in on the joke."
In response to Vergara's tweet, many people responding thanking her for "standing up" for Ellen:
One Twitter user replied: "Very kind of you to stand up for a friend!! Hope to see you in the show in season 18!!"
Earlier this month, Ellen Show employee tWitch - real name Stephen Boss - has broken his silence surrounding the scandal in an interview with Us Weekly.
The beloved resident DJ said: "We can’t speak too much legally about it, but I’ll say this, there’s been love.
"Obviously there's some things to address, but from my standpoint and from countless others, there’s been love. I’ll just leave it at that until there’s a time where we can address more publicly."
Finally, the 37-year-old ended by reiterating: "There's been love and there will continue to be love."

But tWitch and Vergara certainly aren't the only people to speak out in defense of Ellen and her show.
Singer Katy Perry has also spoken out in defense of her friend with the pregnant 35-year-old taking to Twitter to assert that she has only had positive experiences with Ellen.
"I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow," Perry wrote on Twitter.
"I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought to the world through her platform for decades. Sending you love & a hug, friend @TheEllenShow."
In addition, Ellen's brother, Vance DeGeneres, has also taken to social media to post a message of support for his sister.
He started by writing: "Ok, I need to say something. My sister is being viciously attacked. And let me assure you - it is all bulls**t."
He continued: "I put up a simple statement yesterday that said 'I stand by Ellen.' Only a handful of my Facebook 'friends' responded to it.
"If you don't support Ellen, then you don't support me, so please unfriend me. I'm sick and tired of my sister being attacked.
"She always has - and always will - stand against bullying of any kind. She's a smart, strong woman who has made a positive difference in the world. And to my friends who did respond with support for Ellen and my family, thank you so much. It means a lot."

Earlier this month, DeGeneres' wife, Portia De Rossi, also shared her support for the television host.
Taking to Instagram to share an image that said: "I Stand By Ellen". De Rossi added in the caption: "To all our fans....we see you. Thank you for your support."
