A beloved sports influencer is stepping away from social media after sharing his "final thoughts" as he continues to battle cancer.
Andy Isaac, best known by his handle @WorldofIsaac, gained a devoted following among sports fans, particularly those in Detroit, with his passionate posts about the Pistons, Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, and Michigan State sports, per the New York Post.
His witty takes and love of food further endeared him to his audience over the years.
Isaac has sadly announced that he is stepping away from his social media accounts as he enters hospice care.
Sharing the emotional news on his X account Tuesday, he said: “Sadly, this is probably one of my last.
“Having cancer since 2006 has finally taken its toll on me. It has finally stripped me of quality of life,” he wrote.
“I have decided on hospice care. Life has been a struggle these last few months and years. I hope I can find some peace in hospice.
"I may keep a journal of my final days. I’m not sure yet. I’m tired and I’m in pain. I have a horrible foot infection that is preventing me from walking, and I just don’t have the strength to do all the last-minute things I want. But I’ll try.
“I hope I gave you all a positive outlook on life. I hope I made even the smallest impact. Be kind to each other. I love you all. Truly, I do.”
Following his farewell post, an outpouring of support flooded social media. The Detroit Lions, Pistons, Tigers, and Red Wings all responded, as did notable sports media personalities, including Katie Nolan, former NHL player Aaron Ward, and NBC Sports’ Nicole Auerbach.
A Michigan State message board also paid tribute to Isaac, with one user writing: “Absolutely awful. I really hoped the Lions would win the Super Bowl this year and he could go out ‘on top.’ ***** cancer.”
Another added: “One of the funniest and genuinely ‘good’ people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Still holding out hope for him.”
Isaac amassed nearly 90,000 followers on X, cementing his place as a beloved figure in the sports community.
In a 2019 interview with The Athletic, Isaac reflected on how his battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2006 led him to start writing as a way to keep family and friends updated.
After going into remission in 2007, he continued writing and eventually became involved with the culture site Uproxx, where the “World of Isaac” persona took shape.
“I think that’s how it started, like with a lot of my friends,” Isaac told The Athletic. “It just slowly built. The World of Isaac is a person who loves Detroit sports, and then kind of evolved into Isaac the person who loves food, the person who did the Faturday hashtag.”

Influencer Tanner Martin has shared a video of his "last wish" before his death.
The 30-year-old sadly passed away five years after being diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer.
The heartbreaking announcement came in a poignant pre-recorded video shared on Instagram by his wife, Shay Wright, on Wednesday (June 26).
“Hey, it’s me, Tanner. If you’re watching this, I am dead,” he started the video. “I had a heck of a life. I decided to make this video announcing my death because I saw someone did that, like, a year or so ago, and I think it’s a good opportunity to get all your thoughts out."
Though his voice was raspy and his appearance frail, Martin’s sense of humor and positivity remained strong.
“But you guys, life was awesome. I really enjoyed it while I was here,” he continued. “Hopefully, I believe there’s something after this. I’m excited to meet those people, and hopefully we’re hanging out now and making fun of all you nerds.”
“There’s just a lot of people that for the afterlife, I’m excited to see them, and excited to see them not in pain and just happy,” he added. “I don’t know. I’m like, death is scary, but it’s also like a new adventure, you know. I’m excited to see what the experience is like, and hopefully it’s good.”
He concluded the clip by expressing gratitude to his fans for their "support and helping to make the last years of my life here on earth like fun and enjoyable and helping me be comfortable".
Following the farewell message, Shay shared a second video featuring Tanner's "last wish" - a request for help supporting his wife and their infant daughter, AmyLou, lovingly nicknamed Jiaozi.
“The GoFundMe is to help replace what I would be there for,” Tanner said while seated next to his baby daughter. “It will help replace my income. It will help pay for babysitting. It will help for her school, for her wedding. All of these things that normally Shay and I would do together.”
As of this writing, the GoFundMe campaign has raised over $515,000 (as of this writing). Support for Shay and AmyLou has flooded in through both donations and heartfelt comments.
"Shay and AmyLou have an army of internet aunties and uncles ready to support them in any way. We love you Tanner, rest easy," one user wrote.
"Rest well now, Tanner. We will continue to support Shay and your daughter in any way we can," another said, while a fellow father added: "The resilience and strength you've embodied while you faced this end is inspiring and humbling."
"Dad to Dad, you did your absolute best to provide for your daughter and wife in your absence. Rest in peace, prayers to the whole family as you navigate life without Tanner," they penned.
Our thoughts continue to be with Martin's loved ones at this time.

Nicky Newman - a breast cancer campaigner and social media influencer - has passed away after a five-and-a-half-year journey with stage 4 breast cancer.
But even in her absence, her powerful legacy and candid approach to life and illness continue to resonate, as she penned her own farewell message to her 249,000 Instagram followers.
"If you’re reading this it means I have died," Nicky said in a poignant final post on social media. "And none of this ‘she fought her battle nonsense’, I didn’t lose anything, the cancer eventually took over & that’s okay, we all knew this would happen."
Nicky always stood against the traditional narrative that describes cancer as a 'battle' to win or lose. She emphasized the importance of cherishing every moment and being present for loved ones. "So please promise me to cherish those around you and give your friends and loved ones the biggest squeezes! GO GRAB LIFE," she urged her followers, who she affectionately termed her "Instagramily."
In a post following her final farewell, her husband paid tribute to "his lobster".
"A truly rare joining of souls that were simply meant to be one," he wrote, referring to their lifelong connection since they were 14 years old.
The couple chose to focus on the time they had rather than mourning the time they were losing, a message that resounded with thousands who followed Nicky's journey. "People instantly love and are drawn to you because ever since diagnosis, at the worst time of our lives, we chose not to mourn the time we are losing but rather to celebrate and cherish the time that we have left—however long that may be," he said.
Through her years as an influencer, Nicky established a legacy that transcended the normal confines of social media, providing hope and inspiration to those facing similar journeys. She believed in energies and urged her followers to hold onto the positivity generated through her page and others like it. "Then I will always be with you," she declared.
Her husband promises that there are still incredible things in the pipeline that Nicky had planned to share. "I just ask you bare with me a little," he said, ending his tribute with a poignant note about a lightning storm above their house, a sign he interpreted as Nicky reminding everyone to "Go Grab Life and make it count".
In her final message, Nicky thanked her "Instagramily" for being part of her journey, promising that more amazing projects were in the works to continue her legacy of hope, inspiration, and life-affirming energy.
Nicky may have left the physical world, but her indomitable spirit will continue to inspire and guide many. In her own words, she will "always be with" those who hold onto the uplifting and empowering community she created.
As the world mourns this incredible woman, her lasting message remains as a reminder to us all: "You never truly know what is coming around the corner—so don’t take anything for granted."

Danny Go! creator Daniel Coleman has announced that his teenage son, Isaac, has died following an aggressive cancer diagnosis. Isaac was 14 years old.
The children’s entertainer shared the news on Instagram on Friday, May 22, posting a photo of Isaac alongside a black-and-white picture of the pair together. Isaac died on Thursday, May 21, after being diagnosed with stage 3 mouth cancer.
"Isaac Daniel Coleman. 10/3/11 - 5/21/26," Coleman wrote. "Oh my sweet boy. There's so much I want to say, but I don't know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process. But looking through thousands of pictures and videos this past week, I'm also filled with tremendous pride."
"Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit…and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac!" he continued. "Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime. I'm so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son."
Coleman first told fans about Isaac’s diagnosis in December 2025, revealing that his son had cancer in his mouth linked to Fanconi anemia, a rare inherited condition that affects bone marrow and increases the risk of certain cancers and blood disorders.
"We found out last week that Isaac has cancer in his mouth. TBH, we always knew this day was coming, as it's a near certainty w/ Fanconi anemia," Coleman wrote at the time.
"But it's definitely hitting a little earlier than we hoped and is still just such a shocking thing to hear about your child, even if you've braced for it for years. Been getting lots of scans and we're not sure yet how much it's spread," he continued. "But for now, the plan is to try and remove the cancer surgically asap."
In February, Coleman shared another update, explaining that Isaac’s condition had worsened quickly and doctors classified the cancer as stage 3.
"On the cancer front, we've learned a bit more and it hasn't been good news. He's officially stage 3, although the docs said he's right on the edge of stage 4 because of the speed and aggression of the spread," Coleman wrote.
"So even though the visible cancer has been removed, there's a very high chance that it's still present microscopically & we'll have a tough decision to make soon."
Coleman also explained that Fanconi anemia complicated Isaac’s treatment options and limited what doctors could safely do.
"Because of several Fanconi-related complexities, Isaac's treatment options are much more limited than in typical pediatric cancer," he wrote. "Our main options right now are to either start low-dose targeted radiation therapy OR continue to just address the cancer surgically as it shows up."
The entertainer later announced he was canceling Danny Go!’s planned 2026 tour so he could remain home with his family.
"As some of you may know, my oldest son Isaac was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer this past month. As a result, we've made the decision to cancel our tour plans for 2026," the statement read.
"Dancing with so many of you in person over the last 18 months has been a true joy & we hope to get another tour rolling when the time is right."
In April, Coleman shared another difficult update, revealing that Isaac’s cancer had continued spreading and that the family had shifted to palliative care focused on comfort.
"Haven't updated on Isaac's cancer in a bit and it's still difficult for me to process and talk about," Coleman wrote. "But the high-level update is that his cancer has continued to spread aggressively and his energy levels have dropped very low."
"He has a hospice team onboard now to help manage the pain & we are just doing our best to make each day as enjoyable and restful as possible for him," he continued. "Mindy and I are heartbroken watching him decline, knowing how frustrating and scary this must be for him. But we're trying to hold it all together & keep soaking up the time we still have with our boy."
Coleman and his wife Mindy are also parents to their younger son Levi, who was born in 2015.

Popular influencer Tanner Martin has sadly passed away at the age of 30, with the announcement made in a powerful pre-recorded video shared on Instagram by his wife, Shay Wright.
In a heartfelt and emotional message filmed before his passing, Martin personally broke the news of his death just 41 days after welcoming his first child, daughter AmyLou.
“Hey, it’s me, Tanner. If you’re watching this, I am dead," he said. Despite the gravity of his words, he lightened the moment with a laugh.
“I had a heck of a life. I decided to make this video announcing my death because I saw someone did that, like, a year or so ago, and I think it’s a good opportunity to get all your thoughts out,” he shared.
Though smiling, Martin’s voice was noticeably weak as he spoke candidly about how his wife would continue on without him, now also caring for their newborn daughter.
“But you guys, life was awesome. I really enjoyed it while I was here,” he continued. “Hopefully, I believe there’s something after this. I’m excited to meet those people, and hopefully we’re hanging out now and making fun of all you nerds.”
He reflected on those he hoped to reunite with in the afterlife, saying: “There’s just a lot of people that for the afterlife, I’m excited to see them, and excited to see them not in pain and just happy.”
The content creator had documented his difficult journey on social media after he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer five years earlier.
Even as he faced his final moments, Martin remained surprisingly optimistic. “I don’t know. I’m like, death is scary, but it’s also like a new adventure, you know. I’m excited to see what the experience is like, and hopefully it’s good," he said.
He concluded his video by thanking his followers for their "support and helping to make the last years of my life here on earth like fun and enjoyable and helping me be comfortable".
Shay’s caption on the video read: “May the force be with you from our angel force ghost. See the next video for his wish.”
A second video, also shared by Shay on Wednesday (June 25), showed a more physically diminished Martin sitting on a sofa under a thick blanket. His voice was faint, and his baby daughter AmyLou rested beside him on a pink pillow.
The influencer acknowledged the heartbreak of knowing his baby girl would likely have no memory of him due to her young age.
He asked his fans to support Shay and AmyLou by donating to a GoFundMe account established for them. As of the time of writing, $450,399 has been raised.
"Your support - whether it's $1, $5, $50, or more - goes directly to helping Tanner’s two greatest loves, Shay and AmyLou, move forward with hope and security," the campaign description read. "For less than the price of a hot and spicy McChicken (Tanner’s words…LOL), you can give them a future Tanner only wished he could stay to provide."
The couple had welcomed AmyLou on May 15, sharing the milestone on social media with photos of each parent cradling their newborn.
Back in 2020, Martin first began noticing symptoms, initially dismissing them as stomach aches. As the pain intensified and bowel issues developed, he sought medical advice. A colonoscopy revealed stage 4 colorectal cancer, which had already spread to his liver.
By 2023, doctors told Martin that his cancer was incurable, estimating he had two to five years left to live.
Our thoughts are with the late influencer's loved ones and followers at this time.

Influencer Tanner Martin issued a warning about two key signs of colon cancer shortly before announcing his death in a heartbreaking video in June 2025.
The devastating announcement came in a poignant pre-recorded video shared on Instagram by his wife, Shay Wright.
“Hey, it’s me, Tanner. If you’re watching this, I am dead,” he started the video, smiling gently as he addressed the camera.
“I had a heck of a life. I decided to make this video announcing my death because I saw someone did that, like, a year or so ago, and I think it’s a good opportunity to get all your thoughts out," he added.
Though his voice was raspy and his appearance frail, Martin’s sense of humor and positivity remained strong. “But you guys, life was awesome. I really enjoyed it while I was here,” he continued. “Hopefully, I believe there’s something after this. I’m excited to meet those people, and hopefully we’re hanging out now and making fun of all you nerds.
He closed the video by thanking his fans for their support, saying: “Thank you for the support and helping to make the last years of my life here on earth like fun and enjoyable and helping me be comfortable.”
Just weeks before his death, the late influencer posted a video on TikTok warning others about the signs of colon cancer that preceded his diagnosis.
“I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer when I was 25 years old, and the symptoms that I saw in that period of time included blood in the stool,” he shared. “And when I say blood, it wasn’t like a little blood, it was changing the colour of the water.”
Martin went on to describe the blood as “dark” and looking like “coffee grounds,” pointing to potential internal bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract. He also mentioned experiencing lower back pain and rapid fluctuations in weight.
“But the biggest sign was the bleeding and the frequency, cause I was going to the bathroom a lot, and sometimes it was just blood and blood clots,” he said. “But when I told my doctors about it, he tried treating my symptoms for a couple of months, and then we finally got a colonoscopy, which is where they found the cancer that had spread to my liver, making it stage four.”
He concluded the video with a heartfelt plea: if you have the same symptoms or a family history of cancer, see a doctor.
Martin first began experiencing symptoms in 2020, initially dismissing them as simple stomach aches. As his condition worsened, a colonoscopy eventually revealed the cancer had already advanced to stage 4 and spread to his liver.
In 2023, doctors informed him that the cancer was incurable and gave him an estimated two to five years to live.
Despite the grim prognosis, he remained publicly upbeat, especially about becoming a father. He and Shay welcomed AmyLou on May 15 and shared the milestone with touching photos of each parent holding their newborn.
A second video shared by Shay on the day of her husband's death showed a visibly weaker Martin, wrapped in a blanket and sitting on a sofa, with AmyLou sleeping beside him on a pink pillow.
His voice barely audible, he spoke of the pain of knowing his daughter would likely grow up without memories of him.
In the video, Martin asked fans to support Shay and AmyLou through a GoFundMe campaign.
“Your support - whether it’s $1, $5, $50, or more - goes directly to helping Tanner’s two greatest loves, Shay and AmyLou, move forward with hope and security,” the campaign description read.
“For less than the price of a hot and spicy McChicken (Tanner’s words…LOL), you can give them a future Tanner only wished he could stay to provide,” it added.
