The 21-year-old conservationist and son of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin has stripped down to his briefs for Australian brand Bonds.
In pictures shared online, Irwin is seen posing shirtless with a collection of colorful boxers, a six-pack of abs, and a few surprise co-stars - including snakes and venomous spiders.
Dubbed the “Made for Down Under” campaign, the cheeky photo shoot dropped on Wednesday (April 2) just ahead of Bonds’ expansion into the U.S. market.
Robert, who’s long carried a wholesome reputation as a wildlife conservationist, says he had zero hesitation when asked to model for Bonds’ new underwear campaign.
“It was a pretty immediate yes,” he told PEOPLE.
Though he’s more often seen in khakis than Calvin Kleins, Robert has recently stepped into the fashion world, even walking his first runway show last year. Now, he’s all about embracing bold new ventures - even those that push his boundaries.
“I’m trying to do as many different and random exciting things,” he explained, adding that some of it makes him “a little bit nervous.”
But there was one part of the shoot that didn’t make him nervous: the snakes and spiders. “I mean, I've spent my life wrangling crocs and snakes and rescuing animals. And so to feature a little slice of that excitement in this new campaign, mate, it has been so much fun," he said.
"I mean, I'm surrounded by spiders and snakes except [this time] I'm in my undies. That's the only difference," he added.
To prep for the bold shoot, Robert said he ramped up his workouts with more sit-ups and sprints and cut back on carbs. “I’m representing Australia!” he said. “So I wanted to look my best and to feel my best and just feel really confident.”
He even imagined how his late father might have reacted. “My dad probably would’ve shouted a few ‘Crikeys,’” he joked.

With his family cheering him on, the conservationist says he’s proud to step into this new chapter.
“My family are so supportive; I just love them so much,” he said. “They’re the solid foundation to everything I do and what we’re doing together.”
Fans were left stunned by the campaign and wasted no time flooding the comment section with praise... and a little thirst.
One fan wrote: "Now everyone say 'Thankyooouuuuuu Bonnddddsssssss' while another said: "Not the collab I was expecting - he looks SO good."
A third quipped: "Excuse me can someone turn the heat down a little," and a fourth remarked: "*clutches pearls* Good heavens."
