Comedian and actor Steve Martin has revealed his Halloween costume for 2020, which inspired by Mike Pence's recent encounter with a fly.
For those who are scratching their heads, a common housefly ended up becoming memetic last week, when it landed on Pence's head for a full two minutes during his Vice Presidential debate against Senator Kamala Harris.

The insect's size and visibility meant it was the most memorable part of the night for many viewers of the debate, and soon social media was inundated with memes and image macros.
Indeed, according to a report by BBC News, the phrase "the fly" was tweeted and retweeted more than 700,000 times in the aftermath of the debate.

Now it seems Steve Martin has jumped on the bandwagon. Taking to his official Twitter account, the Hollywood star shared an image of himself with his 8.7 million followers.
The snap shows Martin wearing a blue shirt, glasses, and a little black dot in his white hair, which gave him an uncanny resemblance to Pence. Martin playfully captioned the picture: "My Halloween costume arrived!"

However, Martin isn't the only celebrity to have lampooned the incident. In fact, Joe Biden himself got in on the fun. The former Vice President took to Twitter, and shared an image of himself with his 10 million followers.
The picture shows Biden playfully holding a flyswatter, along with a link to the donation page of his campaign, which he captioned: "Pitch in $5 to help this campaign fly. [sic]"

Biden also shared a link to fly-related merchandise, available from the online store of his campaign website, where he was flogging a "Truth Over Flies" fly-swatter for the price of $10.00.

A number of conservative commentators also appeared to find the incident amusing.
For instance, former senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway wrote to her 3.4 million followers "Give that fly a mail-in ballot." Meanwhile, Republican Senator Rand Paul added: "The deep state planted a bug on @VP. The illegal spying is really out of control."
