They say that blondes have more fun, and Sydney Sweeney seems to be channelling the most iconic blonde of all in a brand-new Instagram post.
The US actress - who rose to fame on controversial HBO teen drama Euphoria - is preparing for the release of her latest movie, The Housemaid, based on the best-selling thriller by Freida McFadding.
In a recent post to Instagram, in which she rounded up a recent proo trip to NYC in support of The Housemaid - Sweeney shared one particularly daring picture, in which she appears topless, hands covering her chest, as her team help her get dressed.
It was this picture that sent fans on a spiral, with many taking the chance to compare Sweeney to the ultimate Hollywood pin-up, Marilyn Monroe herself.

Marilyn Monroe’s specific combination of both glamour and sex appeal helped her become one of the most famous actresses’ in the world during the 1950s and 60s.
Since her death in 1962, Monroe has become a cultural touchstone and an influence to many starlets, Sydney Sweeney included.
Clearly, many fans felt that the daring picture Sweeney posted was an obvious homage to Monroe.
