Singer and television personality Tamar Braxton is reportedly in a stable condition following an alleged suicide attempt.
According to The Blast, Braxton, 43, was found "unresponsive" by her boyfriend David Adefeso in their hotel room at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles.
Sources tell The Blast that Adefeso then called 911 and told the dispatcher he believed Braxton had been drinking alcohol and had taken an unknown amount of prescription pills. The outlet adds that Adefeso told the emergency services that he believed she might have been trying to kill herself.
According to the Daily Mail, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to The Blast that they had received a call at around 9:45 PM, reporting that a female had a medical emergency listed as a "possible overdose".
The Blast states that "Tamar is currently under 24-hour watch at the hospital where she is being treated" and that boyfriend David has not left her side.
Tamar and David were set to appear on their YouTube live show earlier that night, but viewers were instead shown a message that read:
"Hello Ya’ll Unfortunately, Your girl Tamar is under the weather today and not feeling well so we need to postpone today’s show (Don’t worry it’s not Covid).
"We’re sad because we had a great show lined up for you today, but next week’s show is going to be even bigger and better.
"So sorry for the inconvenience, we know many of you look forward to the show every week. we’ll make it up to you next week."
Earlier this week, Braxton had vented on Twitter about her contract with We TV and her pay over her reality TV show, Braxton Family Values.
