Taylor Swift's crew break down in tears as she hands out $197million in bonuses after massive Eras Tour

Taylor Swift is known for being a generous boss, and she's once again proved it as she shared out huge bonuses following the completion of her recent tour.

The Eras Tour was Taylor's sixth concert tour, spanning an enormous 149 shows between March 2023 and December 2024, becoming the highest-grossing tour of all time and the first to earn over $1 billion and $2 billion in revenue.

While Taylor is the person everyone is buying tickets to see, she couldn't have put on a show of such magnitude all by herself.

Every tour comes with a sea of people working behind the scenes to make sure it's a success - and Taylor made sure they shared in some of the profits for their hard work, too.

The tour is charted in a new six-part Disney+ series titled The End of an Era, where the 'Life of a Showgirl' star, 36, is seen dishing out massive cheques to those that worked on her shows.

In one clip, Taylor is seen gathering some of her crew around her as she hands out envelopes to each of them, telling them: "Everyone has the same message on their card, I was hoping you would open it."

Her handwritten letter said: "We’ve traveled the world like we set out to do. We’ve dazzled the crowds, but we’ve missed family too.

"My full gratitude doesn’t come from a bank, but here’s [redacted] dollars just to say thanks. Love, Taylor."

The actual amount Taylor gifted them was redacted in the show, but their reactions said all there was to know.

Her team were seen becoming overwhelmed with emotion when they saw the amount written on their cheques.

According to reports, Taylor is believed to have handed out over $197 million in bonuses, with everyone getting a share - including truck drivers that had helped carry her staging and equipment on the road, who were said to have received $100,000 each on top of their wages.

As Taylor wrote her cards for "bonus day", she explained: "Bonus day is so important because setting a precedent with The Eras Tour is really important to me.

"Because people who work on the road, if the tour grosses more, they get more of a bonus, and these people just work so hard and they are the best at what they do.

"So, every single person on the crew, I’ve handwritten them a note. It took me a couple weeks, but it’s fun to write the notes."

The documentary also showed the moment Taylor broke down in tears hearing about a horrific attack on young children at a dance class themed to her music.

Three schoolgirls - Alice, Elsie, and Bebe - were murdered in Southport, UK, by Axel Rudakubana at the Taylor Swift-themed class last year.

The singer revealed that she had met with the families of the children before she returned to perform at Wembley Stadium in London.

She told the cameras: "I am going to meet some of these families tonight and put on a pop concert, you know. I’m going to meet some of these families tonight.

"It’s going to be fine as I am not going to be doing this. I am going to be smiling so any of this gets out of the way before you go on stage."

She added: "We are in London at my hotel and basically it is a weird feeling going into these last five shows in Europe because it sort of feels like, we’ve done 128 shows so far but this is the first one where I feel like, I am skating on thin ice or something.

"We have had a series of very violent and scary things happen to the tour like we dodged a massacre situation. I have been all over the place.

"There was this horrible attack in Liverpool at a Taylor Swift dance party and it was little kids that…."
