The 34-year-old singer - much like the rest of us - is incredibly excited about the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which hits movie theaters today (July 25).

The Marvel movie one again reunites Reynolds' Deadpool with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine for the first time since 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine (but the less said about that, the better).

Aiming the retcon that cinematic disaster, the trailer for the movie promises incredible action, surprising cameos, and a link that will finally bring Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In celebration of the movie's release, Swift took to her Instagram Stories to share a post that had more twists and turns than even the best Marvel movies - showing off her funny (and savage) side in the process.

Sharing a photo of her posing with Jackman, Reynolds, Lively and the movie's director, Shawn Levy, Swift penned a heartfelt caption that appeared to be for Reynolds - whose passion for the character of Deadpool and the movies is well-documented.

"Over the past few years I have watched one of my best friends on this planet pour every bit of his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into this film," Swift wrote. "He's created the best work of his life, and this film feels like an actual joy portal, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich. I don't know how he did it."

Then came a twist straight from an M. Night Shyamalan movie.

"But that's just Hugh for you," Swift joked - getting well and truly stuck in on the playful long-standing rivalry between Reynolds and Jackman's.

"These other randoms crashed the photo and we were too polite to ask them to leave," the 'You Belong With Me' singer added, before finally giving Reynolds his flowers.

"Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids' sperm donor" she capped off the post.

Who would have thought that Taylor had enough comical chops to keep up with the likes of Reynolds? I certainly didn't.

But Reynolds has actually praised Swift's fun-loving nature in the past and praised her funny side.

Speaking to PEOPLE, the 47-year-old described the 'Cruel Summer' singer as a "fun person to have a beer with", before going on to say that she could play Deadpool in her own right. "People keep asking if she's in the movie, and I keep saying if there's ever someone else to play Deadpool, I think it might actually be Taylor," he said.
