Tom Brady led the New England Patriots to yet another win at the Super Bowl, earning himself a sixth Super Bowl ring of his career, and cementing his status as one of, if not the greatest NFL players of all time. Nobody can match Brady's will to win or his ability to make the perfect play, and that's at least in part down to the incredible work he goes through to take care of his body.

Tom Brady will celebrate his 42nd birthday this August, but you wouldn't know it from looking at him; at an age where most players are well into their coaching careers, Brady still dominates the field, and his diet will ensure that he will be able do that for many more years to come.

But no man is an island; and every champion needs a team behind him to help him realise his full potential. I could be talking about Brady's NFL team, the New England Patriots, but I'm actually talking about Gisele Bündchen, the Brazilian model who also happens to be Brady's wife, and the strict dieting they take on together to help both of them reach the top of their respective games.

The Brady Bünch's personal chef, Allen Campbell, told us a little bit more about what this power couple eat in a day, and you might not be surprised to learn that there's no McDonald's, pizza or anything like that in a Super Bowl champ's diet. But even then, they take dieting to the next level: every meal the couple eats consists of vegetables and meat, at a 4:1 ratio, respectively.

So, 80 percent of what they eat is vegetables," explained Campbell, saying he only uses "the freshest vegetables."

"If it’s not organic, I don’t use it. And whole grains: brown rice, quinoa, millet, beans. The other 20 percent is lean meats: grass-fed organic steak, duck every now and then, and chicken. As for fish, I mostly cook wild salmon. It’s very different than a traditional American diet."

Even when the Patriots go through a bad run or Gisele's had a hard day with the kids, the couple don't resort to comfort foods like you or I would. Nope. Instead, they just stick with their whole grains: brown rice, quinoa, and anything else with lots of fibre and plenty of slow-releasing energy.

Campbell explains:

"I'm all about serving meals in bowls. I just did this quinoa dish with wilted greens. I use kale or Swiss chard or beet greens. I add garlic, toasted in coconut oil. And then some toasted almonds, or this cashew sauce with lime curry, lemongrass, and a little bit of ginger. That's just comfort food for them."

But what about that sweet, sweet hydration? Well, alongside a warm water with some lemon to start the day, Gisele and Tom usually alternate between green fruit and vegetable juices, or tuck into coconut water, fresh from a coconut as we'd all like them to be.

So, there you have it, folks. Want to be a Super Bowl champ? Or a supermodel? I'm not saying that following Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's diet will help you do that, but it certainly can't hurt, right?
