Tom Holland appears to confirm his marriage to Zendaya in new interview
Tom Holland has spoken publicly about long-running rumors surrounding his relationship with Zendaya, offering what many fans will see as the clearest indication yet that the couple have already tied the knot.
Speculation first ramped up after Zendaya was spotted wearing a diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025. Despite intense interest from fans and media, neither star had publicly commented on reports of a wedding, choosing instead to keep details of their private life out of the spotlight.
Now, during a new cover interview with Esquire for its July/August 2026 issue, Holland has broken his silence on the subject and shared a small but significant detail that appears to confirm the marriage.
Tom Holland drops biggest clue yet
The actor addressed viral AI-generated wedding images that spread online and reportedly received more than 10 million likes. The fake photos showed Holland celebrating with Zendaya on Lake Como, leading some people to believe the images were genuine.
According to Holland, his grandmother even saw the pictures and thought she had been left off the guest list.
When asked by Esquire whether he had to reassure other family members who believed the images, Holland replied: “No, because they were all there.”
While the actor declined to discuss the ceremony itself, adding, “That’s all you’ll get on that”, the comment strongly suggests that a wedding has already taken place.
The remarks follow comments made by Zendaya’s long-time stylist and friend Law Roach, who told Access Hollywood in March: “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.”
Why Zendaya means so much to him
Elsewhere in the interview, Holland spoke warmly about his relationship with Zendaya, whom he affectionately referred to as “Zee”.
Reflecting on the pressures that come with their careers, he explained the importance of having someone who understands the unique challenges of life in the public eye.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he said. “We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.
“So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”
From Spider-Man co-stars to life partners
Holland also looked back on meeting Zendaya during the casting process for 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Recalling her audition for the role of Michelle “MJ” Jones, he said: "Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her. She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she’d even left the room,"
"I remember when she closed the door to leave, [producer] Amy Pascal was immediately like, 'Well, she’s getting the job.’"
The pair first met on set in 2016 and have since become one of Hollywood’s most closely watched couples. While they continue to keep much of their relationship private, Holland’s latest comments have given fans their strongest confirmation yet that the two stars are now married.
