Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas unveiled their latest masterpiece on October 22: a lifelike wax statue of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

And if the buzz on social media is any indication, the resemblance is nothing short of spectacular.

"Woah! This is insane," an impressed Travis said, adding, "I'm honored. I'm flattered. I'm shocked. It looks so f***ing real."

Indeed, the likeness was so uncanny that even Travis' expectant wife, Kourtney Kardashian, was taken aback when shown the sculpture via FaceTime. She could only muster an astonished "Oh my god" at the sight.

Commenting on its realism, Travis said to Kourtney, "Honey, it looks so real. Isn't it crazy, baby?"

Not one to overlook Travis' iconic tattoos, Madame Tussauds went to great lengths to ensure authenticity. In a press statement, it detailed the painstaking process: from having Travis sit with sculptors, colorists, hairdressers, and stylists, to taking more than 182 precise measurements of his face and body.

For the tattoos alone, 3D scanning and photographic data were employed to emulate the designs, dedicating two weeks for the artwork on his head and an impressive seven weeks for the rest of his body's ink.

As well as replicate Travis' physical features; the statue dons a black leather ensemble that Travis himself donated to Madame Tussauds. Every detail is meticulously attended to, from the silver nose rings and chain necklaces to an exact replica of his wedding ring.

Travis Barker shares video posing next to his waxwork figure:

"I think you guys really got my eyebrows right, and my 'blessed' [tattoo]," Travis mused, noting the statue's accuracy down to his exact height.

For fans eager to witness this eerie likeness in person, Travis invites them on Instagram: "Come say hi to my clone @madametussaudsusa." However, a word of caution – distinguishing the real Travis from his wax counterpart is proving a challenge for many.

"OK this is scary real!!!!! Wow!!!!" Khloe Kardashian commented on Travis' Instagram post, adding, "I swear it took me a minute to figure out who was who." Even Avril Lavigne was fooled: "Holy s***. I couldn't tell which one was you haha."

Fans were equally stumped, with one fan writing: "I swear it took me a minute to figure out who was who."

Another agreed: "I actually didn’t know which was real at 1st that’s crazy."

And if you haven't figured it out yet - Travis is the one on the left with his arm around the sculpture.

In a world where celebrities often receive the wax treatment, it's rare for a figure to capture the essence of its inspiration so accurately (just check out Dwayne Johnson's waxwork.)
