Travis Kelce has opened up about his Super Bowl plans, and whether or not he intends on proposing to Taylor Swift during the event.
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, with both teams hoping to get their hands on the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Kelce, who plays as a tight end for the Chiefs, has his sights firmly on securing a Super Bowl ring... though some people are questioning whether another ring will be handed out as well.
It's been hard to escape the Kelce and Swift romance saga, with some NFL fans even claiming that the singer has been stealing the spotlight during games.
But as all eyes turn to Sunday's game, fans across the world want to know if Kelce will use it as a chance to propose, and he has spoken out about it to a reporter.
When asked about his priorities at a press conference earlier this week, Kelce emphasized: "I’m focused on getting this ring, and that’s all that my mind’s focused on right now," per Page Six.
Meanwhile, Swift, who is currently on tour in Tokyo, Japan, is planning to fly to Las Vegas to support him.
Rumors have been swirling about the couple's relationship status, with insiders suggesting that an engagement might be on the horizon. Sources claim that Kelce and Swift have discussed the possibility and have a plan in place. According to an insider, they are considering getting engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.
However, the athlete reportedly didn't propose over the holidays, nor does he have plans to do so on Valentine's Day. Sources close to the couple indicate that they want to take their time and ensure their relationship isn't rushed.
Kelce also took a moment during the press conference to praise Swift's recent success at the Grammys, jokingly mentioning that he promised her he’d bring home "hardware" of his own from the big game.
"She’s unbelievable, she’s rewriting the history books herself," Kelce shared, adding: "I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and bring some hardware, too."
It's evident that the pair have a strong relationship, as they were spotted saying "I love you" to each other at the Chiefs' last game.
Surrounded by cameras, Kelce told Swift: "Tay, I'm gonna enjoy with the guys," before leaning in for a kiss and declaring: "I love you." Swift, with a smirk, leaned in to whisper a heartfelt message in response.
While there might not be a proposal on Sunday, it'll be Kelce who's hoping to come away from the game with a ring on his finger.
