There were a whole host of celebrities in attendance at Aretha Franklin's funeral last week, including the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton. The former president gave a speech about the departed singer, saying:

"We started out not as President and First Lady, but as Aretha groupies or something. This woman got us all in these seats here today not because she had this breathtaking talent, not because she grew up a princess of soul, but because she lived with courage. Not without fear, but overcoming her fears.

"She cared about broken people, she cared about people who were disappointed... about people who didn't succeed as much as she did. And she worked her can off to get where she was. She took the gifts God gave her, and they just kept getting a little bigger every day."

While his words were praised by many that day, the way he responded to another tribute to Franklin was met with scorn online.

Ariana Grande, who had met with the 'queen of soul' several times, performed her song '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman' at the funeral in honour of the legendary singer.

However, some viewers noticed that Bill Clinton's eyes did wander during the performance...

And Twitter was quick to respond in full force to Clinton's reaction.

This wasn't the only scandal to emerge from the funeral concerning Grande, as many were upset with the pastor who groped her after the performance.
