Valerie Bertinelli has appeared to respond to Matthew Perry's recent claims in his new memoir.
Per Page Six, the 53-year-old Friends star recently released his highly publicized memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, in which, he writes candidly about his life as an actor and his battles with addiction.
In his book, Perry reveals that he "fell in love" with fellow actor Valerie Bertinelli during their time working together on a show in the 1990s called Sydney.
Perry writes: "I fell madly in love with Valerie Bertinelli, who was clearly in a troubled marriage. My crush was crushing; not only was she way out of my league, but she was also married to one of the most famous rock stars on the planet, Eddie Van Halen."

The Friends star claimed that his feelings for Bertinelli "were real" and that he was "completely captivated" and "obsessed" with a fantasy that one day she might leave Van Halen for him.
He writes that after being invited over to Bertinelli and Van Halen's home, he spent much of his time there trying to make her laugh. Perry then claims that after the legendary rocker passed out from drinking too much wine, he made his move on his co-star.

"If you think I didn't actually have a chance in hell you'd be wrong, dear reader — Valerie and I had a long, elaborate make-out session. It was happening — maybe she felt the same way I did," Perry writes, adding that Van Halen was just 10 feet away from them.
"I told her I had thought about doing that for a long time, and she had said it right back to me," Perry claims.
However, after the pair returned to work, their relationship returned to how it was - something that Perry says left him "devastated".

Now, Bertinelli has taken to TikTok in an apparent response to Perry's claims.
Sharing a video with her 524,000 followers, Bertinelli can be seen miming lyrics from Taylor Swift's new track, 'Anti-Hero'. Check out the video below:
"It's me, hi, I'm the problem," Bertinelli mouths, before smiling and putting her head in her hands. In a text overlay, she writes: "Anyone misbehave in their 20s and early 30s? Are you mortified?"
The video has since amassed over 622,000 views on the social media platform, with many of her fans showing their full support for the actor in her comments section.
"Talking about kissing and telling. He could have left that out. But it’s ok sister," one TikTok user commented.
A second added: "dude. you married Eddie van Halen. do you think we expected good behavior? lol. love ya, lady!"
And a third wrote: "That made me giggle.. I saw the Matthew story this morning! You left a impression girl!! Good on ya!"

Others in the comments section described Perry's "kissing and telling" as "classless" and that he "should know better".
