Wanda Sykes has revealed that she is "still traumatized" over Will Smith's actions at the 2022 Academy Awards. Just in case you didn't happen to be born or on planet Earth at the time, back in March, Will Smith made headlines when he got into a physical altercation with comedian Chris Rock. After taking to the stage to present an award, Rock made a joke aimed at Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. "Jada! I love you! G.I Jane II - can't wait to see it," Rock quipped, in an apparent reference to the 50-year-old's closely shaved head. The 53-year-old Men In Black star then approached Rock on the stage, before slapping him across the face. After returning to his seat, Smith started yelling: "Keep my wife's name out your f***ing mouth." Right, now that the recap is over - Wanda Sykes, who was one of the hosts of this year's Oscars, has spoken out about how she is "still traumatized" by what unfolded that evening. Per <a href="https://people.com/movies/wanda-sykes-says-she-is-still-traumatized-by-will-smiths-oscars-slap/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People</a>, the 58-year-old actor and comedian told audience members during a comedy tour stop in Orlando, Florida: "I can't talk about it. Of course, Smith went on to remain at the prestigious awards ceremony, and even scooped the Oscar for Best Actor around 30 minutes later. However, Sykes clearly did not agree with this, telling the audience that all she was thinking was: "Shouldn't you be sitting there with a lawyer or LAPD, motherf****r?" Sykes then added: "I hope he gets his s**t together. Until then, f*** him." She went on to refer to Smith's 2001 role as Muhammed Ali, saying: "I was kind of feeling myself...and then all of a sudden Ali was making his way up." "And it was just a f***ing bummer.
