Willow Smith is planning to spend a whole 24 hours in a box to essentially put her struggle with anxiety on display.
The 19-year-old spoke to the LA Times about the upcoming project, an immersive art exhibition she will be working on with her "maybe boyfriend" Tyler Cole. A real inspiration behind the project is Willow's own personal struggle with anxiety, she told the publication.
The pair, who also worked together on their upcoming alternative rock/punk album The Anxiety, hope to raise awareness of the mental health condition and the ways in which it manifests itself.

Speaking to the LA Times, Willow cited the late NBA star Kobe Bryant and the idea that "anything could happen" as an inspiration behind the exhibition.
She said: "We’re on this planet and anything could happen, like the things that just happened with Kobe? That was really a knife in the heart.
"Every moment is precious. And I think everyone has a fear of just not knowing what’s going to happen in the future, not knowing if you’re on the right path, not knowing if you’re making the right choices."
Willow's mother Jada Pinkett Smith speaks openly about her "unhealthy relationship to porn' back in the day:

Willow continued: "I see that anxiety around me is an epidemic and people don’t talk about it. And so as long as it’s bringing awareness and a positive light to the darkness, it doesn’t matter if you don’t enjoy it."

The 24-hour 'performance art event' will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Geffen Contemporary today at 9 pm local time.
It will see the teenager and Cole transition through eight stages of anxiety from the inside a box. The eight stages include: paranoia, rage, sadness, numbness, euphoria, strong interest, compassion and acceptance. Visitors will be separated from the pair by a glass wall.
