A woman who has accused Jay-Z of rape has now admitted that there are "inconsistencies" with her claims.
A civil lawsuit filed last week (December 8) claimed that Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, along with rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl at an after-party following the 2000 Video Music Awards, per ABC News.
The suit was originally filed in October against Diddy but was amended to include the 'Empire State of Mind' rapper as a defendant.

The 55-year-old star has categorically denied the allegations and called for the accuser to file a criminal complaint rather than pursue civil litigation.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!” he wrote in a statement shared on Roc Nation's X page. “Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away. These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case."
He claimed that Tony Buzbee - the lawyer representing over 120 men and women who claim Combs sexually assaulted them - is orchestrating “theatrics” for profit.
“This lawyer... seems to have a pattern of these types of theatrics. I promise you I have seen your kind many times over. I’m more than prepared to deal with your type," he added.
The rapper also opened up about the impact of the lawsuit on his family. “My only heartbreak is for my family,” he penned. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down... and explain the cruelty and greed of people. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”

The anonymous woman, who is named in the legal action by the pseudonym Jane Doe, spoke about the allegations in a new interview with NBC News.
She acknowledged making "some mistakes" in her accusation but despite the uncertainties in her memory, she still stands by it overall.
Watch her interview below:The 38-year-old from Alabama, who also has autism, alleged that her father picked her up after the assault, but he denies this.
She also said she spoke to Benji Madden at an after-party, but a representative said the artist was not in New York City at the time.
Furthermore, pictures from that evening show Jay-Z and Diddy at a different location than the one she described, although their whereabouts for the entire evening remain unclear.
As a result, the '99 Problems' rapper's lawyer, Alex Spiro, has requested to "expedite the case’s dismissal" in a legal document, per Page Six.
In addition to this, Spiro asked the judge to shorten the filing deadline for the lawsuit dismissal from 21 days to one.
Jay Z slammed Buzbee, saying he had filed the legal action "in pursuit of money and fame," and adding: "This incident didn't happen and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press. True Justice is coming. We fight FROM victory, not FOR victory."
His attorney also shared some words: “It is stunning that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting, but would make things worse by further peddling this false story in the press.
"We are asking the Court to dismiss this frivolous case today, and will take up the matter of additional discipline for Mr. Buzbee and all the lawyers that filed the complaint," he concluded.
Still, Buzbee has backed all of his clients, including Jay-Z’s accuser, revealing that he will continue to "vet her claims and collect corroborating data to the extent it exists".

Despite the Grammy-winning rapper's legal team fighting back so adamantly, the victim does not regret coming forward.
“You should always advocate for yourself and be a voice for yourself,” she told the publication. “You should never let what somebody else did ruin or run your life. I just hope I can give others the strength to come forward like I came forward.”
