Zendaya and John David Washington made a secret film together last month, and they managed to shoot it in a mere 15 days. Now that's some serious productivity during lockdown!

The actors shot the movie, titled Malcolm & Marie in Carmel, California from 17th June to 2nd July.

Yep, that's really just 15 days...

The Euphoria star took to Twitter yesterday (July 8th) to share a first look at the upcoming feature.

She simply captioned the snap: "Malcolm & Marie."

After the 23-year-old was told that production on Euphoria's hotly-anticipated second season had been halted due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the actor purportedly reached out to showrunner Sam Levinson and enquired as to whether he'd be able to pen something that they could shoot together during the downtime.

Per Deadline, Levinson got back to Zendaya within six days with a script for Malcolm & Marie, which reportedly has "some echoes of Netflix's Marriage Story", according to the publication.

The pair invited Tenet's John David Washington onboard, and then filming took place took place within 15 days at the Caterpillar House in Carmel.

The cast and crew were aware that there was still a pandemic going on, however, as it appears that social distancing guidelines were strictly adhered to.

To keep numbers to a minimum and ensure the safety of the production team, the trio reportedly bankrolled the outing themselves, with the help of Levinson's production partner and wife, Ashley Levinson, and Kevin Turen.

According to Digital Spy, Levinson consulted doctors and lawyers prior to shooting to ensure that the necessary governmental guidelines were met before the project went ahead.

During the two weeks of filming, no one was allowed to leave the property, cast and crew wore masks when possible, social distancing measures were put in place, and everyone ate food prepared by a chef in designated areas.

The publication also details that no more than 12 people were allowed on set at any one time.
