The new movie, Challengers, tells the story of tennis player-turned-coach Tashi (played by Zendaya), who finds herself caught in a love triangle between two other tennis stars - who just so happen to be her husband and her ex-boyfriend.
Mike Faist stars as Tashi's husband, Art, and Josh O’Connor plays her former lover, Patrick.
And following the release of the steamy first trailer for the movie, it is no wonder that social media has been in such a buzz about Zendaya's latest role.
Considering the fact that Zendaya's last movie was as the loved-up teen MJ in Marvel's Spider-Man: No Way Home, it's no surprise that the raunchy trailer caught many people off-guard. Check out the trailer below:
Set to Rihanna's 'S&M', the trailer shows a young Tashi flirting with both Art and Patrick, before inviting both of them over to join her on a bed. All of a sudden, they're both kissing her neck and she's giving more seductive eyes than Nala in The Lion King.
It's a trailer full of sexual tension, and Zendaya's fans were loving it on Twitter!
One shocked fan asked: "Are we about to see Zendaya in a three-way?"
One flustered person tweeted: "I haven't figured out yet do I wanna be in Zendaya's place or in the place of one of the guys *bisexual panic*".
Another added: "After seeing Zendaya in the Challengers trailer, I just need to know if Tom Holland can fight."
Of course, others couldn't help but sympathize with Zendaya's real-life boyfriend Tom Holland, with one YouTuber commenting: "Every frame of this movie has a crying Tom Holland just outside the edge."
And the memes kept coming:
Of course, this movie is not just focused on a cloudy love-triangle, but also on the heated competition of tennis. In fact, in an interview with Variety last year, director Luca Guadagnino revealed that Zendaya, Faist, and O’Connor all trained for three months in order to prepare for the physical role.
"They spent like three months working very hard," he revealed. "Everybody -- technically, athletically."
Rated R, Challengers is set to hit movie theaters in the US on September 15.

Zendaya has revealed how her parents reacted to the R-rated scene in her raunchy new movie.
For any actor, filming intimate scenes in movies can be a daunting task, but it gets even worse when you realize you're probably going to have to watch those scenes with your family.
You would think that it would lead to awkwardness, but that wasn't the case for the 27-year-old actress who spoke out about the "hilarious" experience she shared with her parents after they watched the steamy scenes in her new movie.

The former Disney star will star as Tashi Donaldson, professional tennis player-turned-coach, in the highly anticipated romantic drama, Challengers.
The movie will follow Donaldson's love triangle between two friends and sporting rivals, played by Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor.
The film's synopsis reads: "Tashi, a tennis player turned coach, has transformed her husband from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion."
"To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a challenger event - close to the lowest level of tournament on the pro tour," it continued. "Tensions soon run high when he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick, his former best friend, and Tashi's former boyfriend."
As the film is largely centered on Tashi's relationships with both Patrick (O'Connor) and Art (Faist), it features some rather mature scenes, including a three-way kiss between the characters.
The actress is no stranger to NSFW content, as she appeared in the popular HBO series Euphoria. For that reason, sitting with her parents at the Challengers premiere screening was just a reason to laugh.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "It was hilarious. They've all seen Euphoria, you know, so it's not like our first rodeo or anything."
"It was funny 'cause, you know, obviously I've seen the movie many times so I know what's coming, and they were all sitting behind me, and I got to, like, watch them watch and slowly just be like, 'Oh god,'" she added.
It's not just the Spider-Man actress' parents who will see her movie as her grandma plans on watching it too.
According to Tennis, Zendaya revealed: "My grandma, she loves tennis, so she was so excited that I'm doing this movie. She's setting a whole thing with all of her friends to go [see it]."
She then addressed the Rated-R scenes and quipped: "She's seen Euphoria, so it'll be fine."
Challengers will be out in movie theaters on April 26.

Tom Holland has been getting a few warnings from his fans after he told them that he's going to be watching his girlfriend's new movie this weekend.
Now, if you've not heard about Zendaya's latest movie, Challengers (first of all where have you been?) and secondly, let me break it down for you.
It follows a former tennis prodigy-turned-coach name Tashi (Zendaya), who helped turn her husband into a sporting champion. But in order to overcome a sudden losing streak, he now needs to face his ex-best friend and Tashi's ex-boyfriend.
While the movie has been hailed as an "incredible" watch by lots of social media users, no one can overlook the fact that it also contains a few risqué scenes - including a pearl-clutching threeway kiss.
So when Zendaya's boyfriend - Spider-Man actor Tom Holland - plugged the movie and told his fans that he will be going to watch it this weekend, fans took to the comment section to warn against it.
"I know what I'm doing this weekend," the 27-year-old wrote to which one user replied: "Tom... perhaps... Don’t lmfao."
Another added: "Bro is NOT going to like the movie," while a third joked: "Tom, don’t go in the cinema."
Others urged Holland to "stay strong" while he watches it.
However, things did get a little serious for a second, with some men actually criticizing the star for letting the 'Dune' actress "kiss another man" - like what?
"Watching yo girl get kissed on by other dudes is crazy," this one user wrote under the post, however, they were quickly shut down by others who simply pointed out that it was just a movie and Zendaya is just doing her job.
"Why are all the men so childish about this? They're both actors. They do things like kissing other people and other intimate scene for a living. If they're mature about, why can't yall do the same?" this user commented.
And another also chimed into the conversation saying: "Gotta love all the insecure boys in the comments, like she's literally an actress doing her job. guys be so possessive/jealous/weird lmao."
Thankfully, it seems as though Holland is a little bit more mature than that.
The pair went official with their relationship back in 2021 and have been going from strength to strength ever since.
Speaking to InStyle in the same year their relationship was officially confirmed, Zendaya opened up about her love for her boyfriend.
"There are many things, obviously, that I appreciate," she told the outlet. "In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man. It’s a lot of pressure - you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go. To the little kid who walks by, you are Spider-Man. I think he handled that so well.
"And seeing him at work, even though he’s not a Virgo, he is a perfectionist," the actress continued.
"[He's also] very charismatic," she said. "[He] can make anybody feel comfortable and have a good laugh and a good chat. A good chat - I sound so British."

Zendaya has opened up about her love life and why she chooses to keep it as private as possible.
In a new tell-all interview with Elle, the 26-year-old talked about all things business, fashion, and lifestyle - particularly her personal life.
When discussing how her level of fame had changed over the past few years, the star noted that she'd become "more famous" in a "short [time] span."
"After the last Spider-Man and the last season of Euphoria, there was a visceral change," she explained to the interviewer. "Before, I could get away with going places and getting in and out. But in Boston, I would end up going right back home, because it was really overstimulating."
She continued: "Everybody would go hang out at a bar or something, and I’d be like: 'I’d love to, but I think I could ruin everybody’s night. Because it’s just not going to be fun once I’m there.'"
Zendaya then recalled some incidents that happened in the past few weeks where she was spotted in various locations around the world trying to do ordinary things - though it wasn't easy for her.
When she was forced to go to a pillow store, what was supposed to be an ordinary trip turned into a pap opportunity as she struggled to get her card working to pay for her necessities.
"I was just like, 'Why?,'" she said. "You see I’m flustered."
And then in another incident in Venice, Italy, the Dune actress was spotted as she took her dog for a walk.
"I had this idea of, like, I can walk around Venice. No, I can’t," she said, laughing. "I had to pick up his poo, and I was like, 'Lord, please, don’t take a picture of me picking up my dog’s s***.' There’s a picture of me holding the bag, but thankfully they spared the grabbing and the putting it in the bag part."
With the level of fame Zendaya has achieved, it's difficult to keep things private, especially when it comes to her love life.
Fans have been infatuated with the star's relationship with her Spider-Man co-star, Tom Holland, ever since the pair went public back in 2021.
"Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public," she told the outlet. "I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist.
"You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now," she added.
Despite the couple being a fan-favorite, they have managed to keep a major portion of the inner workings of their relationship out of the limelight and can we blame them?
If it's not fans, it's the paps, and if it's not the paps it's "inside sources" selling information to the tabloids for a bit of cash.

Tom Holland and Zendaya are proving once again that they're the cutest couple in Hollywood.
The Spider-Man star was so excited to see his girlfriend and co-star arrive at the world premiere of their new film Spider-Man: No Way Home that he stopped an interview just to get a better look.
Holland's sweet reaction was captured at the premiere on Monday, December 13, by Entertainment Tonight, who he was in the middle of speaking to.
In the clip, he's just been asked a question about the physical demands of the movie when he's interrupted by die-hard fans screaming in the near distance.
The 25-year-old actor turned around to see what was happening, then told the interviewer with a smile: "I think Zendaya just showed up. That sounds like Zendaya just showed up."
He then dashed away from the camera to peer over the crowd for a better look at his girlfriend.
"Can we watch? Is she going to walk down here?" the interviewer asks as Holland watches his girlfriend pose on the red carpet.
The clip then cuts to Holland a few moments later laughing. "That's definitely Zendaya," he grins.
Fans have gone wild over the adorable moment, calling the actor's eagerness to see his girlfriend "the cutest f***ing thing."
"He's so excited to see her it's adorable," tweeted one person.
"Did he just stop the interview to look for her?? He's so gone in love I'm obsessed," wrote another.
Meanwhile, a video of the moment taken from another angle has already racked up over 200,000 views.
The Spider-Man star wasn't the only person mesmerized by Zendaya on Monday night. Her stunning red-carpet look has had her trending on Twitter ever since the event.
The Euphoria star wore a custom Valentino dress with a spiderweb design and a black mask that paid homage to the superhero movie. She was styled by celebrity image architect Law Roach.
Fans couldn't get enough of the look, with many taking to Twitter to praise it.
