Zendaya is being praised for rephrasing the gendered question, "What is the quality you like most in a man?" in an interview.

The 24-year-old Emmy winner, who graced the cover of Vanity Fair’s annual Hollywood Issue, had been speaking to the publication for the issue's accompanying video series, The Proust Questionnaire.

However, when asked the question, "What is the quality you like most in a man?", Zendaya opted for inclusion. "I most like in a person, how about that?" the former Disney star politely but assertively responds.

Check out the moment around the 3:10 mark:

Answering the rephrased question, Zendaya initially remarks, "It's such a big question. What is the quality I most like in someone?"

She then goes on to say: "I would say, 'kindness' is kind of not the best way to describe it, but some people are just good people and you can just feel it.

"And I don't know how to explain that, but there's this little spark they have or this little special thing that they have, that just you feel safe and happy around them. I don't know what that is, but some people have it and it's special."

Interestingly, the very next question asked by Vanity Fair was about what Zendaya liked most in a woman. In response to the question, "What do you most like in a woman?" Zendaya simply said, "Well, I guess that's the same answer."

Needless to say, Zendaya's response to the initial question received an overwhelmingly positive response.

One admirer took to Twitter to say: "Zendaya corrected a question asked to her from 'what do you look for in a man' to 'in a person' and I’m just here to say hi it’s me, I’m the one for you Zendaya."

Another said: "In an interview vf asked @Zendaya what she looked for in a man. After correcting the question as what she looks for in a person she responded 'sometimes someone is just a good person and you feel it.' AMEN this is why I’m actually in love with her."

Vanity Fair's 27th annual Hollywood Issue also features Michael B. Jordan, Charlize Theron, Spike Lee, Maya Rudolph, Dan Levy, as well as other stars - and is out now.
