Cher's had a pretty stellar life and career, and the singer believes she deserves a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for her life span, which she claims is "longer than any other human being ever".
Her career began all the way back in 1965 when she and Sonny Bono released their single 'I Got You Babe' and she's not slowed down since.
The 77-year-old star regularly stuns fans with her youthful look and attitude, but despite staying young in many ways, she seemingly believes she's older than anyone else to ever exist.
The singer made the brilliantly hilarious claims during a recent interview with The Guardian, telling the publication: "My life seems to be longer than any other human being ever. I feel like I should be in the Guinness Book of World Records for this. And I’m still going!”
Not only is she still going, but she's also still racking up 'firsts' along the way, as she's set to release her first-ever Christmas album this week.
Cher admitted that it took some convincing to get her to agree to do it though, telling the publication: "Everyone has done one, so when my manager called and said, 'We’d like you to do this,' my immediate answer was 'No!'
"He said, 'Just think about it.' So, I sat down and thought, 'What can I do that’s different?'"
She revealed that despite being a festive-themed record, her new album "doesn’t scream 'Christmas' every second and isn’t filled with songs you know by name."
According to reports, half of the album is comprised of brand new material, including songs such as 'DJ Play a Christmas Song' and 'Drop Top Sleigh Ride', on which she collaborated with her boyfriend, Alexander 'AE' Edwards, 37.
Cher also recently opened up about the pair's relationship despite their 40-year age gap, admitting it is never too late to find love.
She told People that she is "not surprised" there has been so much interest in their romance, but admitted even she wasn't expecting to fall for someone so much younger.
Cher revealed: "Alexander’s got diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair, and he’s way younger. He’s a beautiful man. Also, I think it’s fun to be interested in somebody else’s love life!"
She explained that the pair fell in love over text - something she'd vowed not to do - after she met him "for about 15 minutes" at Paris Fashion Week a year ago, and was stunned to find a mutual friend gave her soon-to-be beau her phone number.
"It was really shocking because people just don’t give out my number. I had been telling all my friends, 'We’re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text.' So I did what I said not to do!", she joked.
Discussing why she broke her own rules when it came to AE, she revealed it was down to him being "just so special".
She also addressed the question of how long their relationship will last given the four-decade age gap, and admitted that she is just enjoying the moment while it lasts.
"No matter what happens, I love being with him. He makes me laugh, and we have fun," she explained. "What I learned is that it’s never too late.
"If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, 'Well, this is doomed.' But we’ve been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would’ve been worth it. I’ve had the best time."
And that's all that matters!
