Snowboarder Chloe Kim has won another Olympic gold medal!

The 21-year-old successfully defended her 2018 PyeongChang title, becoming the first woman in Olympic history to win Gold in halfpipe two games in a row.

Kim gave a spectacular performance, scoring a whopping 94 in her first run. She followed it up by attempting a 1260 move on her second and third runs.

Despite falling both times, Kim still soared ahead of the competition, with no other competitor coming close to her score.

Speaking to NBC News after winning gold, Kim said she wasn't feeling her best before the run.

"I'm not gonna lie, I had probably one of the worst practices I've ever had which does not put you in a good place mentally, especially out here," said the young Olympian.

"I was dealing with all sorts of emotions, self-doubt, but when I was getting ready to drop into my first run, I just reminded myself it's a brand new run and I just have to land it now. I'm so happy I was able to do that," she added.

Speaking about the troublesome 1260 move, Kim said that it was important to her to keep pushing the progression of her sport, explaining: "It's so important and honestly, the first run I was like, I'm just going to put down my safety run and then I'll get two attempts at landing the cab 12. It's a very new trick so I'm really looking forward to being able to land it, maybe at the next."

Kim was joined on the podium by Spain's Queralt Castellet, who took him silver, and Japan's Sena Tomiya, who won the bronze.

Her victory makes her team USA's second gold medalist at the Beijing games. Last night, her fellow snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis won the nation their first gold when she dominated the women's snowboardcross event.

Meanwhile, this isn't Kim's first record-breaking performance. Four years ago, the then 17-year-old made history when she became the first woman ever to land back-to-back 1080s.
