Chris Brown sparks furious debate after joining OnlyFans

Chris Brown has sparked a furious debate after he revealed on Twitter that he has joined the popular subscription service OnlyFans.

Yesterday, (November 12), the 'Turn Up The Music' singer posted a link to his OnlyFans page, along with two of the eyes emoji - but no further explanation as to what kind of content he will be putting out.

At the time of writing, Brown currently has three posts and 2.6k likes on his OnlyFans account, @chrisbrownofficial. A subscription to his content is relatively pricey at $20.

OnlyFans allows individuals with large online followings to make money posting content that only paying fans can view. It is primarily known for being used by sex workers to post exclusive x-rated content.

Because of this, people aren't happy that celebrities like Chris Brown, Bella Thorne, and Tyler Posey are using their status to make money off OnlyFans.

Especially considering many less well-known sex workers have had to work hard at building up a following, promoting their content, and posting enough to make decent money.

Some people have taken to social media to share their thoughts on Chris Brown's new OnlyFans page.

One person wrote: "These celebrities really need to quit making Onlyfans just to promote their music and show a little *ss cr*ck. they’re already rich but they’re still taking money away from real sex workers. I’m talking to you, Chris Brown, Austin Mahone."

Another said: "Celebrities taking money from sex workers is gross."

A third wrote: "Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of seeing my favorite celebrities nude, but people like Chris Brown do not need that money.

"He is already wealthy beyond belief. It’s utterly stupid for him to take advantage of OnlyFans when sex workers on the site actually do need that money."

Many were unhappy that people were supporting Chris Brown's OnlyFans after he physically assaulted Rihanna back in 2009.

One person wrote: "Not this domestic abuser starting an OnlyFans & people actually supporting it."

Some people, however, were more than happy to learn of Brown's new OnlyFans account:

The site has allowed women especially to capitalize on their own bodies and sexuality, catapulting some to online stardom.

In fact, according to Business Insider, adult content creator Monica Huldt - one of the site's top earners - is making more than $100,000 a year, from her $6.50 subscription service as well as pay-per-view and commissioned work.
