Chris Daughtry's family has been informed that his stepdaughter Hannah's death was a homicide, according to new reports.
The 25-year-old was found dead in her Nashville home on Friday, November 12, by the Nashville Police Department, per People.
The following day, detectives informed Daughtry and his wife Deanna that Hannah's passing was due to homicide, according to TMZ.
The outlet reports that Hannah's boyfriend Bobby Jolly was arrested on Friday, November 12, the same day Hannah's body was found.
However, authorities have not said whether Jolly's arrest was related to Hannah's homicide.
"I am still processing the last 24 hours. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken. Thank you all for your kind words and condolences," said Daughtry on Saturday.
"They are truly felt and appreciated. I will be taking a break from social media to be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this devastating loss.
"Hannah. I love you. I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply," added Daughtry.

Earlier on Saturday, Daughtry's wife Deanna revealed on Instagram that "the family is awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death."
Meanwhile, Chris - who has been on tour with his band - has announced that he's postponing his shows as he flies home to be with his family.
"Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry's daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been postponed," a rep for the singer said in a statement.
The statement continued: "The Daughtry family thanks you for your understanding and respectfully asks for privacy during this very difficult time. Further details will be made available at a later date. The investigation into this tragic death is still ongoing."
Hannah and her younger brother, Griffin, are Deanna's children from a previous relationship. Deanna and Chris also share twins Adalynn Rose and Noah James, 10.
Chris's wife Deanna has changed her profile photo to an image of a burning candle, in tribute.
Chris and his band released their first album in November 2006 after the singer came in fourth place on the fifth season of American Idol. He has been nominated for four Grammys.
