Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have welcomed the newest member of their family.
The celeb couple took to Instagram on Sunday to announce the happy news that their baby girl had been born over the weekend.
"We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt," they both wrote in separate posts, adding: "We feel beyond blessed and grateful."
The pair are already parents to a 21-month-old daughter Lyla Maria, who they welcomed in August 2020 after tying the knot in June 2019. Pratt also shares a nine-year-old son, Jack, with his ex-wife Anna Faris.
News that Schwarzenegger and Prat were expecting another addition to their family broke in December when a source told People that they were "ecstatic" about the news.
"They always hoped for Lyla to have another sibling. They feel very blessed," the source added.
As the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, mom-of-two Schwarzenegger is no stranger to growing up in the spotlight. That said, she and Pratt do their best to keep their family life private. During an appearance on The Today Show in March 2021, the best-selling author spoke about wanting her children to grow up away from the cameras.
"I think one of the greatest gifts that my parents ever gave me and my siblings is the gift of privacy and having a really normal upbringing, or as normal of an upbringing as possible," Schwarzenegger said. "We had a really normal and magical childhood, and we were allowed to kind of be our own people and have our own identity and kind of choose to step into whatever form of being public we wanted to when we felt comfortable."
But keeping the family out of the public eye may prove a challenge over the coming weeks, as Pratt prepares for the long-awaited release of the third and final movie in his Jurassic World trilogy.
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor has starred in both of the previous Jurassic World movies, which rebooted the much-loved original Jurassic Park trilogy.
