Cole Sprouse has claimed that his twin brother Dylan was a "huge bully" in school.

As well all know, the Sprouse twins became Hollywood actors from the age of six after sharing the role of Adam Sandler’s son in the 1999 movie Big Daddy.

They then became even bigger stars after scoring lead roles in the Disney Channel sitcom The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which ran from 2005 to 2008. During that time, the brothers juggled school life with their rising acting careers.

During this week's podcast episode of Call Her Daddy, the 30-year-old Riverdale actor recalled to host Alexandra Cooper what he and his twin were like during elementary and middle school after their debut film performance.

Watch Cole talk about his brother below:

While smoking a cigarette, Cole revealed: "Dylan specifically was a huge bully." He was then asked by Cooper how his brother would bully people and explained: "He would beat them up! And then I became known as the twin that would come up and be like 'I’m so sorry for my brother.'"

The podcast's host pointed out that their real-life dynamic sounded similar to their characters on the popular sitcom, and Cole replied: "I think the writers on 'Zack & Cody' took a lot of cues from our actual personalities, but yeah, he was a real bully."

Cooper questioned if Dylan would be upset about his brother disclosing this information about his childhood, to which Cole responded: "Oh no, everyone knows that he was a bully."

"I don't know if he's fine with it. I think he's still got stuff to work out," he added.

In 2020, Dylan opened up about his previous behavior in an interview with the New York Daily News and stated that he was a "very, very different person" then.

"I was not a good kid," he said. "And I was always in trouble. And I was dealing with a lot of stuff at home that I was bringing to school and taking out on other people."

"And it wasn't until I was kind of … in a nurturing environment where I became a much better person, for lack of a better way to describe it," he added.

So much has happened to the twin brothers since those school days. In the early 2010s, they paused their acting careers to attend New York University, where Cole studied humanities and archaeology and Dylan studied video game design.

The duo returned to the acting world in 2016 when Cole was cast as Jughead Jones in The CW’s teen drama series, Riverdale - which sees its final season premiere on March 29.

Meanwhile, Dylan has appeared in movies like The Duel and The Curse of Turandot.
