Photographs have emerged from the set of the much-anticipated movie The Batman, and Colin Farrell looks completely unrecognizable as the Penguin.
The 44-year-old actor looks so different that it's hard to believe that he's playing Oswald Cobblepot in the upcoming superhero movie, which began filming again in Liverpool, England.
You can watch the trailer for The Batman right here:Wearing a long black leather coat over a purple shirt and a tie, and large, gold and ruby rings on his left hand, the actor's hair was thinning and his skin marked with spots.

Naturally, Farrell can be seen holding the character's famous umbrella, having stepped into Oswald's shoes at the point before he became a full-blown villain.

Farrell was pictured on set alongside Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz, who are playing Batman and Catwoman in the film, which is being directed by Matt Reeves.
Needless to say, fans on social media had a lot to say about his unrecognizable look.
One Twitter user wrote: "Looks a little like Robert De Niro In the first pic imo [sic]."
A second added: "I can see Robert De Niro, but still I wouldn't be able to place an actor. He looks like his own person which is incredible."
Meanwhile, a third wrote: "This is smelling an Oscar for best Makeup and Hairstyling xD [sic]."
As has been the case for many movies filming at this time, production was halted back in March because of the ongoing pandemic, and when it began again in September, it was once again delayed after an unspecified member of the crew tested positive for Covid-19.
However, Variety and Vanity Fair reported that it was Pattinson himself who tested positive for Covid-19.
As per Vanity Fair, Warner Brothers refused to comment on who had tested positive for the virus and shared the following statement: "A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused."

Thankfully, however, the cast and crew are well again, and these pictures were taken as they filmed what appeared to be a funeral scene.

While Pattinson looked dapper in his long, grey coat, it looked like all eyes were on Kravitz, who was the picture of glamour as she portrayed Selina Kyle.
For the apparent funeral scene, she was dressed in a black patent leather trench coat, matching headpiece, fishnet tights, and knee-high leather boots.
While the film was scheduled to be released in June 2021, because of the delays caused by the pandemic it was postponed to October 2021, and then again to March 2022, the Metro reports.
