Halloween and scary movies come hand in hand, especially in 2020 when we will be getting our spook on from a safe social distance!
That's why it's the perfect year to plan a horror movie marathon, and now you could get paid for the job as a company is offering one lucky ghoul the chance to earn $1,000 for binge-watching scary movies for a whole 24 hours.
If you haven't seen it yet, this is the trailer for The Haunting of Bly Manor, which has just dropped on Netflix:

CableTV.com and HighSpeedInternet.com are also offering the successful candidate a $50 Starbucks gift card so they won't be short of coffee to help see them through the 24-hour shift.
But, admittedly, if the movies chosen are scary enough, they probably won't need it.
According to the competition page: "The sick-cessful candidate is a self-starter with an insatiable lust for nightmare fuel. When others say 'Nope,' you say, 'Hell, yeah'. You can stay up all night. You're a US citizen over the age of 18.
"Most importantly, you’re a big horror fan - 'cause we don't hire posers (not even as interns). You should prefer cult films to blockbusters and probably read Rue Morgue and BloodyDisgusting.com to learn about upcoming fright films.
"If you answered 'yes' to those questions and meet our qualifications - you're the one we stalk."
CableTV.com noted that 24 hours is 1,440 minutes, and the majority of feature films are 90 to 120 minutes long, so the successful candidate will have to pick between 12 and 16 horror movies to scare themselves silly for the 24-hour horror fest.
If this sounds like all of your spooky dreams come true, then you can apply for the job here.
And if you happen to be successful, it's probably a good idea to also inform you that a Hocus Pocus wine collection is launching just in time for the spookiest night of the year.
Available in white and rosé varieties, the wine is the perfect tipple for the spooky season, when you and your friends can excitedly discuss the contents of the Hocus Pocus sequel which is being released on Disney+ next year.
With a 12.5% ABV, the wine comes in cans adorned with each Sanderson sister, played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, and punny renditions of lines from the film.

Taste-wise, the rosé wine has been described as "bright and lightly bubbly with flavors of cherry, dried roses, and lychee."
The white wine, on the other hand, is described as having "fragrant aromas with a smooth blend between dry and sweet on the palate."
Boxes of the Hocus Pocus themed wine can be purchased in six-packs for $36 here, however, you'll need to be quick as they are unsurprisingly already selling out.
