Earlier this year, the much-anticipated Friends reunion was finally announced after the original cast members agreed to a deal back in February.
According to a recent report by Deadline, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry have reached an agreement with HBO and Warner Bros.
The stars are to appear in an hour-long reunion special, with each actor being paid approximately $4 million to return. Not only that, but the original series creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane are expected to have some involvement in the special.
And most recently, Lisa Kudrow teased a twist to the reunion show - the filming of which has been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Kudrow said: "It's definitely going to happen. [The planning] was pretty far along, but it seemed pretty clear that if people can't gather then we can't do it."
When Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay in the hit show, was asked if the reunion show would be scripted or not, she said: "There are other things in it. There are other things to it; things I shouldn't really talk about because they should be good - but those things can't happen [right now]. We just decided on another date and we'll see if we can do it then."
The Friends reunion was originally scheduled to air on May 27 to coincide with the launch of the new US streaming platform HBO Max. However, the coronavirus pandemic forced filming studios around the world to close, delaying a show that fans have been waiting for since the last Friends episode aired in 2004.
"It is definitely going to happen," Kudrow reiterated. "We just keep putting dates in the calendar. When we can do it, we will do it."
This comes after Jennifer Aniston shared a hilarious clip of what 'Friends' would be like if it was filmed during coronavirus crisis.
