Courteney Cox has clapped back at Kanye West, who recently posted about his old tweets, including one from October 2020 where he wrote "Friends wasn't funny either."

In a now-deleted post, the rapper seemed to address a number of old tweets - claiming that they weren't actually even written by him.

"This was not from me," West wrote, referring to an old tweet from his Twitter account. "Someone copied my style of text and wrote something not funny."

He added: "I know you guys gonna be disappointed but I actually didn't write the [tweet] that said 'Friends wasn't funny either' but I wish I had. I'd love to know who thought of that."

The Yeezy entrepreneur then continues his long rambling caption - listing his favorite comedians before adding: "I like to fight with jokes. Sometimes we gotta laugh to keep from crying even when we dealing with serious topics. S*** be the funniest when it's true."

His original tweet about Friends came after Jennifer Aniston posted about voting in the 2020 presidential election, revealing she had voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

She wrote at the end of her caption on her Instagram: "It's not funny to vote for Kanye. I don't know how else to say it. Please be responsible," per the Daily Mail. More than 4 million people liked that post.

Cox, who played Monica on the hit sitcom for a decade, wasn't amused with West bringing up the old tweet and clearly wanted to have the last laugh - taking to her own Instagram to post a video poking fun of the comment.

In the short clip, 58-year-old Cox can be seen scrolling on her phone while listening to West's song 'Heartless', before stopping to read what he had written about Friends. West's comment is then blown up on screen, before we see Cox roll her eyes and walk off.

Cox captioned the video: "I bet the old Kanye thought Friends was funny," ending it with a sad face emoji.

The actress' humorous video was met with support from her fans, including one who wrote: "I watch 'Friends' every night before bed. It makes me happy and then I always go to sleep smiling. Love the Central Perk gang forever!"

Someone else seemed to agree, adding: "FRIENDS IS THE BESTEST SHOW EVER .PERIOD."

"Some people have to tear others down, to build themselves up. It's a delusion and the show's fans around the world can attest to that," another chimed in.

Though West, 45, might not be the biggest fan of Friends (allegedly), he has been seen with Cox socially on several occasions - including once in 2016 when Cox and her daughter, Coco, joined West, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, Isla Fisher, and Sacha Baron-Cohen at a private screening of his movie The Brothers Grimsby.

West's estranged wife Kim, whom he is currently separated from, posted an image of the group to her Instagram.

Well, we probably can't count on Cox and West being Real Friends anymore... right?
