Dakota Johnson has left fans absolutely gobsmacked after she revealed she sleeps 14 hours a night - and can't function if she has anything less than 10 hours of shuteye.

Everybody knows sleep is vital - it's super important for your brain performance, mood, and health, among other benefits - however, most of us probably aren't getting enough.

One person who definitely is getting enough - and then some - is Dakota, who opened up about her mind-boggling sleeping habits this week.

She made the stunning confession in a new interview, where she also confessed that she is ready to jump in the bath at any given moment of the day to relieve stress, too.

The 50 Shades of Grey actress, 34, told the Wall Street Journal: "I’m not functional if I get less than 10. I can easily go 14 hours.

"I don’t have a regular [wake-up] time. It depends on what’s happening in my life. If I’m not working, if I have a day off on a Monday, then I will sleep as long as I can. Sleep is my number one priority in life."

This honestly sounds like heaven if you're able to: 1. fall asleep in the first place, 2. stay asleep the whole duration, and 3. are not disturbed by other people in your household or pets ruining your shuteye.

Another key part of Dakota's self-care routine is chilling out with a nice bath - but it's not always at the end of the evening like most people do.

She explained: "I will get in a bathtub at any moment, any time of the day. If in the middle of the day, I’m like, 'Oh God, what is this world?' I’ll get in the bathtub. I find water really grounding."

As if spending half her day asleep or in the bath wasn't enough, Dakota somehow manages to squeeze in workouts five days a week too, doing a combination of bodyweight training, hot yoga, and pilates.

She keeps her mental health in check using meditation, which she practises twice a day, adding: "I do transcendental meditation. I’ve been really into breathwork recently and that’s been helping me a lot with anxiety."

Dakota has often been open about her mental health, revealing that she has suffered from depression since she was a teenager.

She told Marie Claire in 2020: "That was when, with the help of professionals, I was like, 'Oh, this is a thing I can fall into.'

"But I've learned to find it beautiful because I feel the world. I guess I have a lot of complexities, but they don't pour out of me. I don't make it anyone else's problem."

It sounds like Dakota takes care of her mind and body holistically, but we need to know the secrets to achieving 10-14 hours of sleep a night!
