Birthday dinners are a great way to celebrate another trip around the sun with your nearest and dearest, but Drake's choice of birthday menu has gone down like a lead balloon with fans online.
The rapper celebrated his 34th birthday on Saturday of last week.
Drake thanked fans for their birthday well wishes on Instagram a day ago, sharing a picture of himself and a snowy owl that was captioned: "As wise as the old owl but still the gold child. Thank you for all your love and well wishes."
However, fans couldn't help but be distracted by the alleged menu from his birthday dinner after it was posted to Instagram.
While many of the options like calamari, sushi, steak, and chicken bolognese, sounded delicious, people couldn't help but wonder why the mac and cheese had such unusual ingredients.
As well as pasta and cheese, the dish contained "sun-dried tomato, caper, raisin, and parsley".
However, it was the addition of "raisin" that shocked people online.
One Twitter user posted a picture of the alleged menu with the caption: "The menu at Drake's birthday dinner looks awful."
A second wrote alongside a crying emoji: "Drake could have any meal in the world, but raisins IN mac & cheese lands on the birthday menu."
A third Twitter user, addressing Drake directly, wrote: "[Drake] did the mac and cheese have sun-dried tomato, capers and raisins or was there a mistake on the menu? We really need to know now. Also happy birthday [sic]."
A fourth added: "feeling like i got hit by a train seeing drake's birthday party menu for the first time [sic]."
A fifth Twitter user said that the menu couldn't have existed without Drake's approval, writing: "That menu doesn't exist without Drake's approval. He had to say ok to that. Someone speak for these crimes!"
However, not everyone believed that the birthday menu was quite what it seemed to be, and one Twitter user suggested that the mac and cheese description was a typo.
They wrote: "Things I believe to be true: 1) Fake Melania 2) the Drake Mac and Cheese description is a menu typo and a repeat of the cauliflower prep above on the menu."
Drake's birthday party took place on Friday of last week, but the celebrations lasted until Sunday when he hosted dinner at Nobu Malibu with friends and family, News.com.au reports.
