Drew Barrymore has offered a brilliant response to Hugh Grant after he criticized her singing and it seems as if she disagrees with him.

The beef started when Grant, 62, sat down with Wired to discuss his latest movie Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves alongside fellow co-stars Michelle Rodriguez and Chris Pine.

During the interview, the 90s heartthrob was tasked with answering the questions that people have searched the most about him and one question delved into his role in the 2007 movie Music and Lyrics in which he appeared alongside Drew Barrymore.

When questioned about whether he actually sang in the movie, Grant replied that he was autotuned, but cryptically added "but not as much as some," alluding to Barrymore.

The Notting Hill actor doubled down on his claim by adding: "Drew Barrymore was in that film with me and I don’t think she'd mind me saying her singing is just horrendous. I've heard dogs bark better than she sings."

Clearly, this statement didn't sit too well with 48-year-old Barrymore, who quickly took to Instagram to offer a musical response to her former co-star.

The mother-of-two recorded herself singing her duet with Grant from the movie alongside the caption: "Oh, Hugh-bert, Hubert, that's for you," while adding a text overlay that stated: "My response to Hugh Grant."

Her musical clap-back has sat well with her fans, as one person replied: "I loved your singing! Love that movie! Love your acting since ET!"

A second added: "I LOVED that movie and still watch it. Plus yes, I have the soundtrack. I thought you did great," while a third person said: " This just made me love you even more."

Others were telling people to not get offended by Grant's comments as they were meant in jest, and it was just a typical bit of blunt British humor.

This was confirmed as Grant followed up his comment with a compliment for Barrymore, stating that she "sounded way better than me because she's got heart and voice and rock 'n' roll" once her voice was "turned up."

Maybe to squash the beef they should have a sing-off?
